    I have had this exhaust on my bike for a couple of years, it is a great system, very light I’m sure it has freed up a bit of power and sounds good, and far cheaper than anything else I saw at the time.
    Fitting was fairly simple and everything required was in the kit.
    I definitely recommend this system

    Hey all. I just put on the TEC 2-1, and they strongly recommend that you keep the baffle in. I'm wondering if anyone here has ridden a while without the baffles and if you have had any issues. Thanks!

    I’ve installed this exchaust on my int650. Had problems with the clamp and had get a different one from a local auto parts store. The baffle was not a snug fit on mine but I like how it bounces and gives it a little something. I love the look and sound of it.

    Sounds better with baffle imo!!

    Hey there. From what I’ve investigated, the 2 into 1 tec exhaust wasn’t supposed to be compatible with the compact engine guards. Was there an update of some sort? Did you need to customize anything? I’d love to know. Great vid btw.

      From the look of it, it's the same design, although I think they tweaked the header baffles. My experience with tec is they're very cautious about potential issues with fitting, and anything to do with how the bike handles, so they offer warnings even when there may be a workaround.

    Great to the point t and informative video. About to pull the trigger on a 22 continental gt and this is the first mod I want to do. I’m no grease monkey, so what kind of install time and skill level is required?

      I'm mechanically rubbish, and fitted the stinger 2-into-1 to my Interceptor on around three hours. You just need the correct tools, plus a little confidence. Good luck!

    Did you need to remap the engine or add a power commander? I know that some of the Tec exhausts are mere slip-on no tuning needed but wasn't sure about a full header system back unit?
    I am buying a Continental GT but intend on giving it a full S&S makeover with the high-comp pistons, cams, qualifier 2 into 1 exhaust, upgraded filter, power commander, and stiffer clutch springs. The guy I have going to do the work also said he'll do some port and polish work to the heads and dyno-tune it for me. He has a 2019 Interceptor that he built a rat-bike out of using all the same components and showed me his dyno sheet where he was producing 90 RWHP and 93.5 lbft of torque. It is an entirely different animal now. He has it geared for quick acceleration and stunting which for twisty backroads was perfect in my book. Top speed was around 110 mph but truthfully it was more than enough and the way that torque comes on made flicking it in and out of the s-turns effortless. It pulls like a pissed Rhino and while it does not begin life as a fit and trim machine, all that torque makes the front-end feel like you slapped a kx500 into a Honda Grom frame. I am super stoked to build this bike and it is staying a 650. Now the only question is what color to get and whether I can get race takeoff tires in a 130 rear?

    • @AlphaCars
      @AlphaCars  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for watching and for your comment! This TEC exhaust doesn't require any tuning, the factory ECU adapts the fueling nicely. Also, once you decide on a color, feel free to reach out to our team at sales@alphacars.com, we handle all the logistics and make it super simple to get a Continental GT into your garage!

    I'm surprised that with all the listed mods you haven't changed the tires - the stock tires are questionable at best. Also upgraded FR brake pads and a FR steel braided brake line. Better tires and brakes can make a substantial difference.

    • @AlphaCars
      @AlphaCars  Před 4 měsíci

      We agree tires will make a large difference, but we wanted to leave that choice up to the owner. Most riders will have a preferred tire they want to use.

    Is the engine guard easy to install even with the tec 2-1 exhaust?

    I am looking at this exhaust for interceptor, with the engine bars. Tec bike part website mention they do not fit together but you show the opposite. I asssume it is the same clearance on the interceptor. Can you elaborate on the troubleshooting, did you bend anything before fittting? Thank you very mich

    • @AlphaCars
      @AlphaCars  Před rokem +3

      Yes, the engine guards can be installed with the TEC stinger exhaust. We install them after the exhaust system is already on the bike. The right side engine guard will slightly interfere with the downpipe of the exhaust system. You will have to gently pull the engine guard away from the downpipe using a suitable leverage bar and soft spacers to avoid scuffing and scratching. You will have to move it about 4-6 mm, about 1/4 of an inch.
