- The Golden State Warriors have announced that Warriors Archive: We Believe, presented by Rakuten, will premiere on Wednesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. (PDT) on warriors, available to all fans in the Bay Area.
The Warriors won 16 of their last 21 regular season games in 2006-07 to claim the eighth and final Western Conference playoff seed, earning their first postseason berth since 1994. The We Believe squad made history in the first round by upsetting the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks with a 4-2 series win, becoming the first eight-seed to defeat a one-seed in a best-of-seven playoff series.

As a Mavs fan, these season broke my heart, but I couldn't fell nothing but respect for the sheer pain and blood these guys and their fans had being trough, this is a loyal fanbase.

Owner literally ruined the feel good story by trading j rich for a rookie bum in wright in summer 07....I would of loved to see the same core 9 2007 playoff rotation with a much improved seasoned azubuike come back the next season with the additions of old c webb and austin croshere to sure up the bench with rookie marco plus watson and street clothes big men bums o'bryant and mbenga go for the finals after waiving foyle and not resigning sarunas ...I think they would of beaten the lakers jazz hornets spurs that year..they won 48 games without j rich who avg. 21.8 ppg 5 3.1 assists 1.4 steals .7 blks on 40.6% from 3 with 3 makes a night playing all 82 games that year in his prime...in a west where 58 games would of gotten them the 1 seed....dude only played 51 games the year before and shot less fts at a worse clip almost a 8% difference scored 5.8 ppg less shot 3% worse from the field 4% from 3 shot 1.3 less fts got less boards per game got .3 less steals and had less blocks....imagine j rich on the 07-08 warriors team instead of brandan wright...
I was at game 3 of that series, first game at Oracle, and I've never been in a louder place. By far my favorite sporting event I've ever attended. Keep in mind I love baseball and football much more than basketball and was at Barry Bonds' 600th homerun game, Cal vs Tennessee in 2007, and game 5 of the 2014 NLCS. All great and incredibly loud crowds, but nothing beats this.

Idk if it’s just me, but I feel like the crowd for that We Believe Warriors team was twice louder than this crowd for the current warriors teams with Steph and Klay. 🤔
But realistically I would say the crowd for Steph’s warriors teams have been that much louder the way he has risen and changing the game 😅
The energy at Oracle during We Believe was another level. More than any of the championship seasons.
It truly was. My boy and I were talking about this last week. It's just like the spirit of crowd, team and era was just...........overpowering. It's like The Force was with them...
Nothing beats an underdog story. There's an inevitable charm to it. Especially with the 'We believe' chants/slogan, its all coming into place.

I became a warriors fan since the we believe team. If there are splash brothers now, back then there were the highflying backourt of BD and Monta.
This team had a good run for 2 seasons. And then bd left the team. The warriors got Curry. After a while, Warriors became champs. Well, I guess everything happens for a reason.

I have my ROOTS in doing shitty blue collar grunt work FOR 14+ YEARS! before working in tech in my youth, my friend and I had to 'cherry pick' all the games vs bad bad teams because I wanted to see the Warriors (before nickname 'Dubs' used now) vs suns, SA, jazz, lakers, bulls, or any good team that season and my friend convinced me that we'd get so fuckin slaughtered, that we had to see games vs teams with losing records so Dubs would have a chance winning. ONLY time we watched Dubs vs a very good team was in '04 when dubs played Detroit (world champs that year) and MAN was that place rocking! came back from a 7-12 pt deficit (shit, long ago, I can't remember) and won game! place was soooooo fuckin loud(alway was loud in a run to tie or take lead)! It was pretty diehard of diehards. Fast forward last 5 years fans now consist of people tech, finance, real estate, CEOs, marketing...makes me sick to my stomach. despite the 'change in scene' with influx of geeky techs or finance fucks, I'll still root for our Warriors with them. As a matter of fact there's a bar in San Mateo that went to quite a bit and bartender and regulars there would tell me, 'man, we really respect that you're willing to still watch Warrior games despite how bad they are and without Curry and Klay'.

coolruiz19 okay.... Baron Davis and Al Harrington went to the Clippers , after drafting Steph Matt Barnes left too and Stephen Jackson asked for a trade where we sent him to the Spurs I think. Then Monta Ellis got traded for Bogut in '12. Then we started eating eating in the playoffs in '13 until we got our first Chip in '15 as you already know.
