ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Margot and I am a professional artist and graphic designer. My parents like to joke that I was born with a paintbrush in hand. I started my career after graduating from the renown Parsons School of Design in New York City and spent over 15 years creating and designing for many of the world's top Fortune 500 brands and companies. My painting journey started as a side project and a creative outlet for me to step away from the computer, go back to my "roots" in fine art and to hone my skills as an illustrator and painter. I started posting some of my work on instagram and the rest is history. My work is inspired by all the things that I am passionate about. Ballet, travel, graphic design, color and finding a world of beauty in all facets of everyday life. I hope you'll join me in this CZcams journey as I take you through all the tips, tricks and trade secrets I've gathered throughout the years. I hope I can teach you some of what I know, help you discover your creative voice and I hope you enjoy this Channel!

Anyone else drooling over her discards? 😊
Everything is gorgeous!
You are the classiest person. I enjoy your content because it’s entertaining and educational. Your work is amazing. Your children are blessed to have you as their mom.
Absolutely love the paintings where you “let go” and poured yourself out on the page. By far my favorites! The colors! The lines. The emotion. Stunning
Iam so glad to get tio watch you everyday. I never watch NO Artists but YOU.❤
Omg the “delft blue” style ballerinas in your rejects-😍😍😍 completely in love!
Thank you for sharing with all of us! I know that I would definitely be into an astrological series - Virgo here!
Yes I love your ballet stuff! That's one of the main reasons I subscribed to your channel. I've never seen anyone combining ballet & painting. It's perfect! 💖✨
Aww thank you! And that’s good to know! 🥰😘
I really appreciate you putting up the art you aren’t proud of! Seriously. I know how hard that must be, but it really helps me to see someone I look up to in art, make things they aren’t completely happy with. Keeping it real is so helpful in a world of perfect images.
Don't throw away your practice papers. Crafters would love those individual flowers or combinations to have for their papercrafting. Plus, i, too, wish that I could create something that combin a two very special elements that I love (you did that with ballerinas and flowers!)
Oh Mrs. Margot, I so enjoy hearing and absorbing all your knowledge and of course seeing and admiring your art pieces!! You have such a wonderful way getting your artwork out of your head and onto watercolor paper!! Oh how I wish I could learn how to do just that, I would have it made!! I love your artwork!! It is so amazing!!! 👍👍👍👏👏👏 Be kinder to yourself! You are a fabulous artist!!💖
Thank you so much for your kind words Jackie! I’m so humbled and honored. Truly. 🙏♥️
Thank you for sharing your beautiful artwork with us! I love seeing your ballerina paintings, they are extremely creative and unique!! I love the flower ballerinas, but that peppermint ballerina really jumped out at me! Please don't be so hard on yourself. Like you said we learn something every time we paint, even if we don't like the outcome. Please also slow down a bit and take the time to enjoy your success, you deserve it! Hugs! 💖
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your pictures. I think you are brilliant!!! And so creative!!! That’s a LOT of work for 1 year - especially while pregnant!!! You should be so proud of yourself!
Well iam on replay but i could watch your DEMOS OVER AN OVER.❤
I love your unique take on flowers with beautiful ballerinas. I am trying to find my voice and looking at your beautiful work believe that I really like .lots of color, Thank you for that. You are one of my favorite teachers and you are very generous showing us all the work you have accomplished. Its super interesting that you paint individual items and put them together on the computer. Thanks again fot sharing.
This video was a treat, I hope you do it for 2023 as well! Dancers around the world were my favorite of everything.
Your ballerina flowers are beautiful, every single one of them!
Lovely work. Some of it reminds me of a 1950's vibe, in the best way.
I never thought of it that way! Thank you for sharing!
Me, with my untouched paper . . . really appreciate seeing some of your process. Thank you.
The flower you were showing are pansies. I love them.
I love the ballerinas!
I love your ballet they're unique it's something that not everybody else is doing it's part of your personality and passion.
As an Aries, I am in love with the Aries dancer. I was so excited that was what you created to represent us. Sucks it was ultimately rejected.
Replay club! Having a white fudge oreo and a black coffee while watching. Love your channel!!
I never got to take ballet lessons as a child because I had flat feet and apparently slightly off-kilter hips, plus weak ankles, so looking at all your ballet art is how I get to live my childhood dreams vicariously. I did learn to dance as an adult, but I did lyrical hip hop instead, though my teacher was a trained ballerina and would have me do all the ballet stretches to prevent me from injuring myself.
All this to say, I LOVE your Pointebrush work and hope to order some in December when I'm in the States!
Hi Frankie and thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad we connected and I’m also happy to hear you followed your love for ballet as an adult! 💕
I know your ballerinas are your signature style, but it's fun to see your other talents.
Replay viewer here: I may be late but don't throw away your art work. you can cut them out and make them into a collage. They are beautiful!
Also the butterflies theme is amazing.
Let's be honest, everything is beautiful!
Aww thank you so much Amirah! And thank you for watching! 🙏
A fascinating rummage through your work, Margot. Thank you for that. You are actually very inspirational! I feel I'm full of ideas now for some watercolour doodling!
Cheers!
Mel in Devon, UK 🍰🌻
OMG!!You always make me smile!! Loved everything you shared. Thank you for even sharing your trial stuff too
What a fun video! I'm rather new to you & your YT channel but have enjoyed everything I've viewed. Your insight & information you share on pieces you're doing, products you like has been super. (I have a few things that will be gifts for me for christmas!) Here, your pieces are soooo gorgeous! Love hearing your process of thoughts, client requests, what works & doesnt, etc. Looking forward to continuing to follow you & see what comes down the way.
replay watching from Australia and loving it! Beautiful paintings of dancing around the world -- Centre Point (tower), Harbour Bridge and golden wattle flowers (or mimosa in the south of France) ;)
You’re so fun to watch and your body of work is amazing!
Enjoyed seeing your lovely artwork. I've never taken ballet but I can appreciate your interest and joy in painting ballerinas. I love the citrus fruit ballerinas, the peony 2 dancers and the Dance Around the World planner. My favorite has been your Wizard of Oz painting. Do you think you will ever gravitate towards landscape paintings? As always, I enjoy your channel.
Thank you DeeAnn! I love painting people more than anything and I find that any landscapes I do, I usually like them a lot more when there are people in them than without them. I never really thought about it before reading your comment but I think that's probably the unifying theme in all of my work. Thank you again so much for watching and commenting!
I. Love. Seeing. Everything!! So much joy and creativity & colour! Subscribed & following 😁😁😁
I had to laugh at those early roses. That is what mine looked like.
Yes I am very much enjoying watching you talk through your creative process!! And looking at all your work
Margo! This is beautiful work! It’s my favorite video you’ve done so far, though I loved your Halloween 2023 video. Thank you for your expertise, help and perfect blend of history, design and snarky personality. I can count on you to be honest and bring depth of knowledge and creativity to each upload. Cheers!
Thanks for showing me your practice pages,,,I guess we all have to make progress by practice!
Sorry I missed this live! You are way too hard on yourself because I was thinking how great the ones were that you didn't like so much but I get it .. nevertheless you are such an inspiration and I'm so happy I found you and look forward to another fun year!! Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed seeing everything!!!!!
So refreshing, love your work. Thank you for sharing ❤
I really enjoyed this video. I LOVE your ballerinas! What a wonderful video, thank you for sharing!

You are so talented. These are all very beautiful!
seeing your process was inspiring. thank you
I loved this video! The paintings, the creative ideas, and your humor. Thank you 🌿
I love the violas, everything is super creative and unique. Love, love, love your channel. X
I love, love, love the ballet stuff and your artistic sensibility! Really fun to see your work and hear about your process!
Patty-I'm so glad you went through your all of your paintings. It really inspired me. I do agree about being hard on myself. I recently finished an experiment and was not very happy with the result. The funny thing was everyone I showed it to thought it was a beautiful piece. One of the individuals said it gave her peace. Why was I disappointed with it? Being hard on myself, I guess. I'm going to start saving my attempts. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoyed this video. You are so talented. Thanks for sharing.
your art is gorgeous!! It was interesting to see how you do your art for clients also, I like the idea for making cards etc. It makes much more sense than stressing over xmas cards etc every year. thanks for sharing👍🖌🖍
You are amazing, enjoy your work!! Hugs.
You were very productive and busy in 2022! You run a business, a YT channel, and other social media platforms, you had a baby, so you’re a very busy mother. Phew! I enjoyed all of your illustrations. Thank for sharing! ❤
Thank you so much @shadow guard and thank you for sticking around all of last year 😉😘♥️
@@Pointebrush you’re welcome! Always fun and educational to watch your videos. ❤️
I have just recently discover3d your channel and your art work is amazing!! I too love ballet and travelling. I also took up ballet more as an adult and I am lucky enough to be learning pointe too, which is so hard and painful but it’s still amazing to be able to do. I have also recently taken up watercolour and gouache as a hobby so I’m still very much learning and I would love to try and make some ballet themed art to one day.
Bonjour Margot. I was born in France but now live in Atlanta. I have been painting watercolors since I was a child, but finally took some classes at the art center and I am ( more or less) mastering the medium. Your Matisse window tutorial really inspired me and I went to the library to check out 8 books. Your videos are delightful and useful. Thank you!
Your work is fantastic. I love the ballerinas. As a beginner, it was so interesting to see your process with several takes before you found what you were looking for and how you created separately and then brought it all together. Will you be sharing 2023, I hope?
Thank you so much! And thank you for all of your kind comments, I truly appreciate them ❤️ ps. 2023 is coming this week!
I love these beautiful pieces of your artwork and how you incorporated your ballerinas into your flowers. Very ingenious and creatively unique. I also loved your ballerina butterflies. Gorgeous.
Watched replay 😊 such lovely designs for your clients, pointbrush, and for your illustration side of your business. Lots to see and enjoy. Thank you.
😘😘😘
unique and fabulous. Haven't seen anything like these anywhere. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I can almost feel the ballet movements. Rejects???? What rejects. Thank you for sharing your year of art.

Obsessed with the ballet stuff
Awww thank you so much. You are so kind!
I love the ballet stuff ❤ Very different to what I see other you tubers do
Thank you so much Nancy! 💕
Pansies? Is that what the purple indigo flowers are? I detest pansies you won’t find them in my garden but your pansy ballerinas are absolutely delightful!! Love them.
Triple shot iced espresso (30°C here in New Zealand) and I'm ready to go! 🔁replay club🔁
I’m jealous! Of both your beverage and your warm weather! 🥶
Better take my place: First!
Ready to rumble! 😜
Yes, I am!

I enjoyed this so much. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art.🙂
My pleasure and thank you for joining today!
Do you teach how to draw ballerinas step by step.
I love your ballerina watercolour drawings, Maria r
Beautiful work. I loved watching this, but I may never pick up a brush again!!
Oh no! Why not?? ☹️
Centrepoint Tower and Sydney Harbour Bridge
From Delinda - what program do you use to get your work into your computer 🖥️ and what program to manipulate the images?
What colors are those bluish purple leaves for the gouache peony ballerinas? Gorgeous
Sydney harbour bridge , wattle flower, Sydney tower
Blue bell two
Replay club! Also an adult ballerina and had a baby girl last year
Awww Congratulations!! And wishing you happy dancing with baby 💕
You are hard on yourself, some of those paintings you didn’t like were actually good.
The cut ones;make good bookmarks…
That’s an excellent idea! Thank you!
@@Pointebrush ,I sometimes write my website on back……as business card, have so many….lolol, saw your short on watercolor pastel, did you like them? I’ve done a lot of pastel through the years and have been doing watercolor now,but always loved pastel.
Hi from Sydney! It's the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Centrepoint Tower and I think a Wattle plant 😄
Thank you! 😂 And send my regards to Sydney, it’s been forever since I visited but I loved it 🦘
Thank you. I learned so much. I am new to your channel. I am a reply
I'm not surprised when I saw the ballet dancers, because I think you look like a ballet dancer yourself. Am I right?

Do you use Watercolor Gouache or Acrylic?
99.9% of the time I use regular gouache. I tend to hate acrylics and acryl gouaches and will only use them for opaque whites or if there’s a specific need for non water soluble paints

Answer. You cannot outproduce last year because you will be busy enjoying your precious offspring every spare moment. You won’t get the time back enjoy every minute of your family! Work is second 🥰 work is enjoyable and it’s for providing for your family. Building your brand is meaningless without your loved ones and all the experiences you are blessed to have with them. IMO. I hope my unsolicited opinion doesn’t offend you 🤍🙂🩰
😘🥰🙏💕
