Well, remember just recently Phil Robertson just wanted to " talk", only on a landlines. Sick of cell phones. He said where he lived the lines cut accidentally and all he wanted was a original dial rotary landlines. REMEMBER who he called....ELON MUSK. YES, HE GOT A LANDLINE. MR. ROBERTSON REPORTED THIS HIMSELF ON YOU TUBE. IT COULD BE DONE.......

That’s what I’m thinking , I heard the head director of the FBI gave a warning about something like this might happen a month or 2 ago but I just assumed he was trying to be dramatic to get funding for his agency but I don’t think this one was a cyber attack but still eerie to think about this is a taste of what can happen if what the FBI head director said was true

I have them too and they suck so bad since making everyone switch to 5g. 5g is fake. Just a weapon system basically. They said everyone wanted it and that it would make the internet so dang fast. I noticed no improvement and there are way more areas where I can't get internet at all.

@greystone62: It may be necessary to go to Law Enforcement to see if your phone is bugged. Even Verizon is affected and Customer Service is unable to help at all.

Everything in our lives that isn’t dirt or sunshine (or other people) is technology or has been touched/altered by technology; the fire used by cavemen is technically technology.
We shouldn’t rely on a single type of tech if there are additional options to fulfill a particular need out there that may even be more reliable. And we certainly shouldn’t solely rely on mega-corporations as our only method for communication when they’ve proven the only thing they care about is raising rates and squeezing every cent outta us they can.

People in states that have hurricane weather that can take down cell towers often have land lines in case of emergency. I do for just this reason.

Not if you have at and t. Since they forced everyone to go five g and switch our phones I can't get internet at all in many places around town. And its slower, not faster than before.

Warnings of infrastructure attacks have been issued, and now cell service has issues nationwide. It's unusual that an outage would affect so many providers at once across the nation. When the town I lived in had a wind storm that left us without power, cable and cell phone service for 8 days my Dad was the only one in our neighborhood that had a landline. Also a generator. Everyone came over for coffee and the phone. He would make coffee and walk around the neighborhood to pass it out.

Not all true, T-Mobile and Verizon state they had no outage. Suggest most were reporting their customers reported an outage because they could not get in touch with those on ATT.

Ah yes, because being able to play video games is the priority when communications go down. Also, MOST games are playable without internet. Some are not because that's the whole model of the game is to play with others, like Fortnite. If you don't like that then have a diversity of games like everyone else that have campaigns you can play through without internet connection.

There are no copper wire and lines. All run through cell phone towers. It was outlawed Aug. 2nd 2022. What you think is a land line is a cell phone towers phone.

This also happened after Hurricane Laura too. Our system was used up and no one could call or text, I could though.

Most people no longer have landline phones. Most companies no longer even offer landline phone service. So telling people to use landline service if they don't have mobile or cell service is not really a good option.
My conspiracy theory for the day…. This is a trail attack by a foreign actor on AT&T as AT&T is the service provider for First Net which is the cell network dedicated to First Responders. If successful that kind of outage could multiply impact of other attacks.

I just learned that an hour ago it hit San Antonio! This morning it hit Houston! I’m in Corpus Christi and I still have T-Mobile 5G service! Connect to WiFi to use phones if you have no connection.

I don't think your pulse dialing is going to interface with modern technology from any major residential phone carrier. I doubt you are using an actual rotary phone, more likely a replica that still uses touch tones.

Att discontinued my landline that I had for over 50 years. I hope they will reconsider and add them back to our homes.
We experienced the “outage” between 11:50 P.M. on 02/21/24 and 12:50 A.M. on 02/22/24 Central Cali Coast PST. This “outage” was not widely reported till about 4 A.M. today.
I use Metro/t mobile and have had zero issues in Detroit

My brother has Verizon Wireless, and his network seems fine, but mine is Metro by T Mobile it's very slow on other apps, except CZcams, not sure why?
We need to warm up the landlines. Take the Grid off the Computers. Electricity worked great before the Grid was hooked up to the Computer's. Ham Radios and CB's will be a necessity for communication. Get prepared!

Is not T mobile only but all cellular signals flare for entire hour, you may call or chat with provider and ask for compensation for this outage, because you may do some business on your phone, sale or buying transactions, important chatting with customers or vendors or friend, family members, that's came suddenly. But in scare world like we are when trackers start boycott NY City over Trump Verdict and Open Border policy, when states send their National Guards to seal the Southern Border, when political divisions are deeper than before 1861 Civil War, our cellular providers test our communication devices and probably updates them with secret features that assured that they will work. Time of outage was less affecting the many, so this not a hacker attack or foreign born cyber attack, but planned emergency test by cellular providers, because hackers don't care about timing, cyber attackers, ransom wires don't care about this. This was one time and lasted about hour. While they boost security updates for cell towers Nationwide!!!
My service was out when I got up in Ocala Florida at 5:00 am with AT&T it just came back on at 11:50 am my wife has the same service hers never went out!
