New vid out now! USSR History on the Trans Mongolian Railway - czcams.com/video/p3J0Pz89gWI/video.html
Excellent video, I love how there’s no spoken commentary and only subtitles. It gives a really nice peaceful vibe to it.
Thank you for watching! I am experimenting to see if captions or narration will be better for the channel
There is another subtitle only video releasing in a few hours!
I guess it’s subjective to the viewer. So many CZcamsrs have annoying voices and chat rubbish, I appreciate the calmness of no voice over.
Very true! I appreciate those videos as well. It shows you the true vibe of a location 🌊
A correction here at 3:30 this train set is the 1st Generation. It was put into service in 2000 when the lines 2&3 opened. Btw nice video, Bravo!!
Thanks for the correction! I will pin your comment so other people can see too :)
@@SoloTravelPOV Information about the trains is also wrong. 1st Generation trains were constructed between 1998 and 1999 by a consortium of Alsthom (now Alstom), Siemens and Daimler Benz(AdTranz). Alsthom mainly built the trains, while Siemens built the electrification and in-cab signalling systems.
@@jimgamergr1313 Thank you! Do you have a website with sources or a place I can read more for future videos :)

Thiseion was a name given to the temple by mistake in modern times. It was named by the mythological hero-king of Athens, Thiseus. So, Thiseion is not an alternative name to god Hephaestus. Besides that this is a nice video.
Thank you for the comment, and yes, that is correct :)
I’ll update my captions for future viewers 🇬🇷
12:32 The area is called Theseion because the bones of Theseus are buried under the temple of Hephaestus.
Thanks for the comment! Looking back, the Temple of Hephaestus is beautiful and an amazing sight in Athens 😎
10:15 - Wow crazy to see that right in the metro station
Yes the metro stations are incredible and inspiring! Monastiraki Station was my favorite one too :)
Subscribe for a Greek cookie ;)
3:59 most subways use standard gauge
Yes - that is true! I was surprised to learn that the Washington DC subway uses a narrow gauge though
By the way the paper cards that you biy from the mashine can be reloaded too once completely emptied and the time ends completely from the last ticket (each 1.2 euro ticket lasts for 90 minutes of transport/usage on metro, tram, trolleybus, bus ,and train-(but the trains only inside Athens)
Yes that is true! Thanks for the comment 😁
I think the graffiti might be putting tourists off from riding the Athens subway. The train on line 1 you rode might have had a broken cab window or two.
There is plenty of graffiti all throughout Athens so hopefully the tourists have gotten used to it when they ride the subway 🙃
bro the 3rd gen metro trains are third rail only and are not able to use the mainline railway electrification to the airport
the only metro trains going to the airport currently are some 2nd gen ones, they are the only metro trains with pantographs for the airport
are u still in Athens?
I will have five more videos from Greece coming out soon!
In 9:54 this is 2nd not 3nd
Thanks 🤓
Is London Underground the oldest in Europe
Not Athens Metro
I think Athens might technically* be the oldest given the ancient history of Monastiraki station :)
