Dehumidifier 15V Power Supply Repair

Merry Christmas!
In this video we repair a 15V 4A Power Supply for a Mini-Dehumidifier. I have a previous video on this same Peltier dehumidifier with issues from the limit switches. I had to eventually replace the cheaper quality limit switches with real OMRON limit switches with no issue with those since. I now have a failed Power Supply on the same unit so lets repair it. This is such a simple unit with nothing but Peltier devices and a fan as the main components. Other than the switches and the PS it is not much else that should be problematic. Is that a Peltier device? I wonder after you called it a dehumidifier and said the power block was rated for 4 amps. S/U on compressor would certainly be alot more. I probably missed the first video on this unit's repair. Nice work, thanks for your time.

Yes sir it is a peltier device. It's slow but steady and helps in a small storage room etc. It should be a very reliable unit, but unfortunately they used cheap switches and now I see cheap caps. Hopefully it will run for a few more years. I really like the idea of it and how simple it is. Thanks for your kind comment!

I had one of these, PS failed only about 4 months in. I got another similar but should have fixed the old one if maybe it was just a cap as well.

If not for being around water I would have for sure! It can't take being submerged of course, but a splash will be fine. Thanks for your comment!
