It's a pretty curvy surface. Spray foam or mat insulation is another way of doing it, I would just tape over any wiring harness and do a light layer of spray foam over it just in case you have to access it for whatever reason.

The Thule Basket has a lowprofile design. That on top of the evo cross bar and the MPG drop wasn't to bad. It's a stick shift hond so I have some MPGs to spare.
The roadshower however has a flat surface at the front of the tank. I wish it was torpedo shaped at the front for better aerodynamics.

I eventually removed both rear seats and built a sleeping platform which helps me stretch out a bit more. czcams.com/video/Nkzsw8QcsTI/video.html
I also started sleeping the opposite direction with my head at the trunk and my feet towards the seats. I find easier to stretch out this way even without putting my feet between the seats.
You can see it here in my most recent Sub-Zero Car Camping Video czcams.com/video/d3mXvnHtG_c/video.html

Fire up that little 1.5 L engine and head to Florida shouldn't cost you very much money in gas

@@godemperormeow8591 I'm use to camping outside in similar temperatures, so I don't mind camping inside of the car and out of the wind. The sleeping bag I used in this video was rated to 15 degrees and the inside of the car only dropped down to 20 degrees. The sleeping bag combined with the electric blanket was sufficient. The only issue was keeping my face warm/covered.
I've slightly insulated my car since making this video. I tried it again at -21F czcams.com/video/SvO1P9QRpmI/video.html I used a lower rated sleeping bag with a USB hand warmer inside. It worked O.K. but I dislike using the red sleeping bag as it is a rather large and bulky item to store compared to the blue sleeping bag shown in this video.
I've also read that you'll wake up from being too cold before you actually freeze to death.
"Can you freeze to death in your sleep? People will almost always wake up shivering instead of freezing to death in their sleep. It’s only possible if they’re already severely hypothermic and badly suffering from the cold. It won’t just happen out of nowhere."
