Its a shame that you have to watch a million crappy videos, go finally find this gem! Thanks a lot. If you could provide some more detailed information on the parts you used, and maybe some crucial instructions, that would be awesome!
    Cheers

Don't be afraid.. I built this 2 months ago and have a 32" tv hung inside the box and have not had the first problem out of it. But if you would rather spend the 500.00 for the lift only that you can purchase then feel free. I am very pleased with the way that it turned out and would suggest to anyone that is looking to do this on their own that this is a cheap and effective way to accomplish a TV lift. Nice name by the way. Looks as though you may lack stability as well.

This Gas strut is the longest one that Advance Auto parts had. I think it was 31" when fully opened. Since this video though I had to add another in the opposite direction because the TV weighed to much for one strut. Overall it works really well though.

Great video , any details on the gas strut you used ? I'm going to use your design but I don't know what to search for here in Ireland for the strut ? Thanks in advance 🎉

We purchased a very nice cabinet with a TV lift about 8 years ago. All went well until our little remote quit working about a month ago. We took the remote to a local place where they put in a new battery. So the remote seems fine, but will not connect to the lift in the cabinet and raise the TV. My husband had to get into the rear of the cabinet and manually open the top cabinet door and then raise the TV using the button inside the cabinet (the one on the lift itself). That works just fine. It's the remote that doesn't seem to work. What could be the problem? If you're not able to help, can you direct us on who to call regarding this problem. We can get the TV down and the top door shuts, but then opening the cabinet door on top and raising the TV using the remote is the problem. All seems to work except the remote. For now the TV is raised until we can fix this problem. Sorry for being so wordy. It's a mystery to us grandparents who don't know a lot about technology.
