Got a call from NYL and had no experience in the finance industry. Was hired. Was brought in my first day and was sat down at a cube that was 3 ft wide and given a phone book and told to start calling people. No training, no mentor, no experience. Just call people and see if they are interested. I had a family, bills, obligations. I stayed 3 days and had to go find a job with a salary. If you are 23 and have no obligations, fine. If you have bills, its not good.
This is very positive news. Seems to have lifted your spirits. Hopeful that you will show them the right choice was made picking you , that you will make them (& you) lots of money! People always need guidance on how to save for the future. Cheers.
I just got hired at my office. I get 2k a month just for being hired, an additional 500 a week for calling 5 people a week with no obligations and finally the commission and bonuses. Is that not the norm across the country? I see everyone saying you don’t make anything going in.

@@ARon82 wow! What do you do specifically in auditing? What company did you go with? I'm getting an MBA right now with a specialization in Finance and have just been hired at New York Life, to start part-time in late August.

Sounds like ATT lol.
I have my doubts that this was with NYL. They have a formal, structured training program.
