I think he needs to learn a little humility before he gets way too full of himself while the previous gen of dancers from 2000s graduate from these contests. Seeing him not even pay attention to 13-yr-old opponent shigekix during the monsters battle pissed me off. He needs to learn respect. Not as mean as mounir but still...

Very true, if he had longer arms I doubt he could do those one handed airflares, and with that low gravity centre he can those insane headspins. He's body is a gift and he takes advantage of it in a very clever way.

Pocket’s last round is exactly how you use power while listening to the music. Power moves plus musicality is pretty much unbeatable.

Even before the battle begins, I was persuaded that Menno was going to win. And in the end, it was the biggest and the best surprise of this Red Bull BC One: Pocket took it ! The proof that original and perfectly executed power moves can win against a more diversified style like Menno

Neo Storm I said same pace not no pace , the same execution of the moves at the same speed every round , and i swear i saw all of his moves in 2012 or so vs lilzoo , he hasn't added anything , and at the start of the livestream they said they bring 9 bboys whove been active through out the year and shit , bullshit . they bring pocket just for the lolz ; don't get me wrong he's an abnormal talent but to reach the semi final of BC1 ALL FUCKING STARS ? this is not a birthday party , this is culture , which means more than one aspect of the game is a factor , i'm so pissed at the judges.

If there is a battle between one bboy who dances with only one aspect but at an incredible level, and one bboy who dances with more aspects but are at a less incredible level I think that the first bboy can fairly win.
By the way, I think we got used to see the same moves from a lot of bboy and that make us boring to see always the same stuff from the same bboys without evolution. Maybe Pocket did not create a lot of new stuff in his sets through out the year but he is still amazing by what he does. Imagine that it was the 1st time you saw Pocket in this battle, Im sure you should have been impressed and thought that he deserved it against Menno

I think Menno only lost because he didnt seem to take this match seriously enough. His sets and movements didnt seem to have much behind them almost as he were doing afew run-through sets or something. But Pocket is a beast nonetheless and his amazing power made the impact it would in that situation.

Well, the biggest problem with dedicated powermovers is their tendency to repeat and also do similar combos with little variation. I mean, in this video alone, Pocket does airflares, halos and headspins in ALL 3 ROUNDS and so most judges might see that and penalize that if they see that's all they kind of do. But Pocket is kind of unique to other powermovers because no one does power as explosively and cleanly as he does (even when he 'crashes', his recovery into other power is amazing). In this sense, he is 'original'. Not only that, I think he took the battle because he came with the energy and ambition to try his hardest and most showy moves (1-handed airflares, his entry in the first round, stripping windmill, slow motion halo, etc) and, most ironically, Menno didn't bring his best moves and just looked plain, probably because he didn't expect to lose to a powermover in their second round.
You might think that Menno was really dancing and Pocket wasn't, but when it comes down to it, powermoves are a fundamental part of bboying too, so if you can bring it onto the dance floor and the crowd loves it more than the boring guy doing forward rolls, I think the judges have every right to give it to Pocket.
Absolutely hilarious upset though. Last year's champ defeated by a Wildcard powermover in his second bracket, lol.

Pocket took powermoves and exectued them perfect by drawing a masterpiece on the floor Menno in the other hand made a more detailed painting with a bigger variaty of moves, but maybe didn't executed so good, thats why they gave it to Pocket....even though I always believed that a true bboy should be able to connect all 4 elements to draw masterpieces on the floor every round they come out
