This is the first song & music video since the release of my last album "I Didn't Mean To Haunt You," and the first music video from my new "Scrapyard Series." I did the synths, chords, guitars, drums, atmospheric stuff on it. brakence did some chopping and rearranging of the instrumental and drums for his section and added in really cool piano & background vocal arrangements. Sam Arnold did the real bass on it

For those who didn't know, "à la carte" means ordering a dish individually, but in the case of the song, Quadeca means that he wants that she keeps him “a la carte”, which means “off the menu”. Which implies he wants to kiss and more “take it all”. Little lyric explanation for the confused Quadonkers

I'm reasonably sure it's in reverse, that he's saying isn't ready for a sexual relationship. "a la carte" actually means "by the menu" meaning that if you order something a la carte, it comes by itself, exactly as it's written on the menu, instead of having other things that go along with it. so "you can have my tongue if you take it a la carte" means he's fine with making out, as long as nothing else goes along with it. brakence even directly makes reference to being afraid to have sex with the person he's singing about, and feeling like he's an unattractive person because of his fragile mental state despite the reassurances of his partner

So grateful for this collab! Y’all are my 2 favorite artist and the creativity you both bring to the table is amazing. I also love how bold you both are given the state of the industry right now. Most artists are trying to sound so cookie cutter. Refreshing to hear to artists actually expressing themselves in an honest and unique way. Also the production is crazy and I get the sense you to worked on that together as well.

Usually when an musical artist comes out with a song/music video I watch the video and vibe with the beat and over hear the lyrics. Then I go back and listen fully again, close my eyes and make my own visuals. When it’s Quadeca I know it’s going to be creative and moments the can catch you’re eyes. There are many moments in the video when you felt the lyrics match the scenery. I love this I’m here for the new series and can’t wait to see what comes next..

I think my favorite part about quidaca is how underrated his voice is. He has the r&b voice of an angel and yet still decides to push the boundaries of this genre of art with his voice being drowned in gorgeous effects.
