- Here is the official music video for my strange soul-crushing banger "Dustcutter". I worked extensively with an ASL instructor, putting together an interpretation of the lyrics in sign language to perform in this video. The translations are not exact: artistic/poetic liberties were taken, so I hope I did not look too much like an idiot and I hope my expression & concept came across respectfully. Thanks for watching!

my mother is deaf so I love showing her anything that includes ASL, so simple but makes such an impact ❤
i learned ASL in high school and even though a lot of it didn’t stick with me it gave me such an appreciation for it and the community. we had a project where we translated a song to ASL and memories of that made this music video really resonate with me. such a beautiful expressive language not enough ppl acknowledge and i’m glad he put in the work to do it justice here, and i hope your mom liked it!
should definitely be more normalized as an language option in schools bc even if the language itself doesn’t stick with you it broadens your perspective so much and i was lucky enough to have a teacher who really cared.

I only first heard this last week from the vinyls, but this song is already making me feel like that scene from Ratatouille where the food unlocks the critics happy childhood memories.
