  • Sounds like a career-blocking fear to have for a driving horse, doesn't it?! Due to his owner's commitments, we had just four weeks to see how far we could get Dylan into his training to be a driving horse before being turned away for the winter.
Watch how Dylan has got on so far with his training and see if you think he'll manage to face his fears and graduate with flying colours when he returns in the Spring!

Stood in the river with the steam rising, how fabulous. Miss my horses. This is glorious to watch. Thankyou for sharing. From Cornwall, to you Sir.

Pure joy and privilege to watch Dylan’s trust and courage grow and blossom into full blown confidence in your hands and voice. What an achievement to turn him around into a horse who can now relax and go forward unafraid, and even take pleasure in his work. Well done you two, well, a team of three really, because dear Cloud bless him, is instrumental in holding Dylan’s hand/ hoof through all his equine trials.

Thanks for the nuggets! I recently lost my second best horse that I was using to help train my 5yo youngster. Trying to bring the mare up little slower than I have with others over the years... My mare is needing more confidence as Dylan, I believe. It is always nice to see one of your video's talking about a current issue that I'm experiencing. My question is now- Did you drive Dylan as a single more or little of both? A good steady eddy does help at time in the process!

Good luck with your mare! Dylan currently has only driven pair. When he comes back in the spring to finish his training, then he will be driven in single.

    LIE ...
Being American of 1/2 British - 1/2 Irish extraction with the Irish component being "Kerney" of County Galway, with a heritage dating back to the burning of Dooley's Tavern (The Galway Blazers), I take the greatest exception to the fact you have "never" stopped the TEAM at a PUB enroute to training excellence.

Maybe occasionally... they have to be trained for every eventuality after all!

Nothing is easier these days than to become a Pharisee.
      What a special time.
      For example:
Climate activist with three illegitimate children
      from three different men:
“You pull the horses around in the car
more than they pull you around.
You do it for yourself as therapists
because You are incapable of living with people
in a lasting, trusting and uplifting way.
You are putting a strain on the climate
without even producing an existential product,
      e.g. a sack of potatoes.
You and those around you are chronically “sick.”

In Germany alone it takes as much energy as a nuclear power plant supplies."

It seems that we are all in a trap,
      a dilemma,
      compared to my grandparents
      and all the people before
      who farmed with real horsepower.
      They lived climate-neutrally, etc. .
      Is the engine
      the modern fruit
that was forbidden to Adam and Eve,
but which were offered so temptingly?
Germany's most recognized intelligence, Peter Sloterdijk,
      claims that their fuel
      Coal, oil and gas
      bringing hell to earth,
      so to speak.
