The war between Hurrem and Nurbanu begins!
Hurrem's answer devastates Suleiman. Gazanfer saves Nurbanu from drawning at the last moment. Nurbanu escapes the death and blames Hurrem. The war between Hurrem and Nurbanu begins. Defne becomes successful on winning Bayezid's heart and tells Selim a secret that she has found out. The trap that Selim has set for Bayezid drives him crazy. Mihrimah gets lesions on her body. Doctor Pedro who comes to cure Mihrimah's lesions enamours her. Fatma puts Hurrem in a grat danger. Suleiman gets shocked because of what he sees as he comes to save Hurrem. Suleiman banishes Fatma from the capital. Hurrem gets terrified because of what the fortune teller has told her. Suleiman throws his heart into the flames within Mustafa's letter.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

it's so refreshing to see how much Selim actually loves Nurbanu, he sees no means to protect her (not only in this scene but throughout the season). Not even Suleyman had this much protection towards Hurrem, he could leave her to defend herself alone sometimes... It's sweet x
I think Selim also recognized the power of having a woman who was willing to fight for him by his side. He learned by watching his mom and dad that having a capable wife made a difference.
Nurbanu is really a very beautiful woman. She has the charm .. i love her so much .
Ganzafer!! One of the greatest and most loyal servants in the series. Hes pretty awesome. I suggest people look up the real Ganzafer and what he was able to accomplish. Impressive to say the least
Yeah he turned against nurbanu and sided with safiye sultan, now that would be something I wanted to see. Canfeda was ended early and another one took her place, also loyal to safiye sultan

1:53 Hold up there girl. Whilst it’s understandable that she wants to prevent the concubine from going to Selim, she’s too arrogant and delusional. Like no, that place isn’t yours, you’re thinking of yourself too highly. You’re not that important or powerful (yet), still the concubine of a prince. Walk before you can run Nurbanu. Her problem really is arrogance and feeling she was superior even when she was a nobody, she always felt more important than she was. Felt like a sultana when she was a concubine, felt like a valide when she was a mother of a prince. Like sit down and learn to take step by step, Hurrem literally made you.
Hurrem did the same thing and all of it came back to Hurrem 😂

Like she could have successfully even have held her down for a couple of seconds!! 🙄 If someone is fighting for their life they would have the typical "fight or flight" response. I've always hated this scene and how unrealistic her holding Nurbanu down in the water is. Maybe if a Man was doing it, but this petite woman, give me a break!!
I do think that Nurbanu was taking full advantage of the situation. Remember when Mahidevran had Hurrem beat up & instead of retaliating on her own, Hurrem just got the Sultan to come to her & see for himself how hurt she was? She took her chance & played it well. I think Nurbanu was also doing something similar.

@@user-gp3xf7jp9n Well duh sure, but realistically she wouldn't have been under the water for very long. Plus, obviously characters have plot armor, Hürrem herself has plot armor multiple times in the show.

@@user-gp3xf7jp9n Again, slow motion makes it look like 5 minutes when it was likely 30 to 1 minute seconds at most. Plus, Hürrem's plot armor has saved her from situations worse than this anyways.

@@rosalinda9236 yeah but lost by the haseki. Also she didn't win, mihrimah sultan never left topkapi :) nurbanu couldn't taste the full power while mihrimah sultan was there. Even as valide she didn't have full influence in harem the first years.
