@@manazmohan ever since they moved from physical suits to CGI suits they've always looked like they are floating on top of the actors. I understand why they do it but it just looks a a bit off

Rocket Raccoon is the greatest consistent feat of cgi in the mcu fight me!
Marvel has had a lot of consistent amazing feats of CGI in their Cinematic Universe(many of them in the SAME movie) but I would actually agree that Rocket Raccoon is the greatest consistent feat of CGI in their movies.
I still remember vividly how people were laughing and treating it as a joke when it was announced that Marvel Studios were going to do a Guardians Of The Galaxy movie-a movie in which one of the main characters would be a talking, bipedal alien raccoon with hands with opposing thumbs(real raccoons have paws, not hands and they don`t have opposing thumbs as Rocket Raccoon does) who likes guns, explosive ordinance and is skilled with technology and who can fly space-crafts.
But Marvel, as they often do, made it work and one of the reasons I believe it worked, was because of the direction of directors like James Gunn, The Russo Brothers, Joe and Anthony, the performance of Bradley Cooper voicing the character, the performance of the actors reacting TO Rocket and of course, the amazing, hard and dedicated work of all of the special effects people who were involved in bringing Rocket to life.
Seeing how the filmmakers have a skeletal structure for Rocket didn`t surprise me at all because that`s the same thing the filmmakers did in the Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit movies and what most visual effects companies do nowadays when they`re creating characters.

This is called poor management from the pre-production side and pointless burden on the post-production side.
@@jamesjason8471 They shot this movie without a full script. You can't blame it on poor planning. If that's the case, the movie will never be made. It's their creativity that drives this industry. It what makes what you see magic
The most impressive thing is that I was always like "Ok, that is an easier trick, keep the helmet on the double and keep using Chris"
But DAMN, they did a good job replacing it.

What really surprises me is that Brie had her original Captain Marvel suit on for the entirety of shooting *_Endgame_* (even in the deleted scene of everyone kneeling in honor of Tony's death), when she had two completely different suits in the film.
My god, so many things you would not even think is CG. Like captain americas mask/helmet in that last fight. And the glass floor they were fighting on was also CG!!!

I can..i cant describe how, but i can tell whats natural and what isn't..
I told that my friend about this, he said prove* it, i told him things in Kingsmen trailer, and after movie release, there was Vfx breakdown video, and i got mostly right.
Its very awful and generic these days, the CGI i mean..its very unnatural. there is certain stiffness.

they just render the different passes and then use something like AE to do transitions between them

Henry Cavill could've done with this CGI team to tackle his dreadful moustache removal.
Don't blame the studio, organic photorealistic VFX requires time and they didn't have that.
It wasnt the VFX artist's fault, just the scheduling.

Everything was CG except her face....
firstly, the hair's glowing, secondly it needs to feel floaty (because space)
Some of those always are like:

No they filmed her but they have to have a suit ready to go for the glowing and flying shots, so they took her real face and put the rendered body and hair on
editors must get the half of the budget of the movie cuz they pretty much do a lot of things
The special effects in this film were great. Probably the best in a marvel movie.
This now makes me interested in learning the art of VFX animation

hairs occasionally done with cgi when the characters have a leviathing hair. there are examples in Arrival (2016) and which is way before this movie. Also in Aquaman all the underwater scenes with the characters had cgi hair.
To everyone saying Brie Larson was slimmed down and saying negative about the VFX people, They had to slim it down. The suit seemed stretched not because of her "fat" but because of the apparatus used.

Her suit is definitely CGI. And no I don't think that Brie is CG in that scene maybe they used a stunt double max and then replaced them to make it look like it was Brie. But then that's it. It's really rare to CG an entire person (not saying that it isn't possible)
It’s a CG body double that they line up with the actress so they can correctly simulate CG lighting and object collisions instead of painting and masking light over the suit/skin.

They`re paid to act so being in a movie that couldn`t otherwise be made without visual effects, being VFX-ed into the movie counts as part of their job.

When they first shot it both of them had the helmet, but then they made chris shoot again without an helmet so people could recognise and then the stuntman's head wouldnt fit inside chris's head, so they warped the stunt mans head inside steve's head

@@SwastikSwarupDas I think you got a little confused there. Both Caps did not have the helmet on while on set. Then they added a CGI helmet to the 2012 Cap so the audience could tell which is which.

Depends on how the shot is going to play out. If it will be tough to track a real object and transition to CGI when needed they'll CGI the whole object.
