"My name is Skyler White yo, my husband is Walter White, yo." I love the delivery, it's so perfectly out-of-touch suburban mom.

Can someone tell me what "yo" means in English? Pls xd
@@jjgranmaestrobubytercero4782 It basically just means like what's up, or you could use it when someone calls for you. Like if someone says "Hey James" James could be like "Yo" in response. Or it could be used to call someone like "Yo James get over here" or something like that. Or it could be a way to express concern or confusion like "Yo What?" That's best way I can explain it.

I love this tone of dark comedy the show had in early season. It's even fenomenal when you think about how the show transformed after they got more into the serious tone
But always, always with humor.
I really wish these two had more scenes together. They both have fantastic comedic timing.

Well, that’s the definition of bravery.
Man, Imagine if they kept this tone of humor until the last season.
Would be pretty hard for such a serious series with a tragic ending like that
I don't think everything has to be funny. It was good the show got serious. It made the impact of their actions more meaningful.
Well I'd say the frequency of moments of humor was about same-ish between the latter seasons and the beginning. The nature of the intensifying plot is what made it all seem darker, particularly the last season. It was not a decision to opt for less moments of humor. There were about just as many, even in the last episodes. I can even remember a few off the top of my head.
Cmon, man, the "two best hit men Westside of Mississippi" in Felina its definitely a bomb haha way darker but still comedy 😆

Imagine the number of lives saved and the amount of suffering avoided.

I like that she's polite when she says that
I usually defend Skylar with the whole 'two sides to every coin' thing, even if I am aware of how much the Vince and the writers were setting her up to be who she comes across as these first two seasons.
But maaannn, this time it just really bugged me hearing that.
Like there's literally a scene of Jesse trying to do just that. I forget if it's after or before this scene itself, but it's where Jesse gets an interview, wears a suit and everything, then they go ahead and just offer him a job twirling a sign outside instead. Then he goes outside to find Badger doing just that. It's not an easy path to progress from at that stage.
But the point is, it's not like Jesse's given very many options in what else to do. Not that he was exactly forced into it. Just that with how much he tried to get out at certain points and the reception he was met with, it's not a surprise that he wasn't able to stick with it for very long.
The absence of vine boom sound effect drives me crazy

Robot?
i love how she's even concerned for him. many fans hated her but i just can't.
Yeah like I mean she's annoying as hell but she's also kinda nice
I think people who disliked her, were simply reacting to the idea of someone who told them that being a dangerous rebel might have consequences. That and the fact she’s a woman probably didn’t help. But more than being a woman, she tried to reign Walter in. If the show had been about Walter Jr. selling crack, and both of his parents tried to stop him, many people would probably think Walter Sr. and Skyler sucked. Sexism played a role to be sure. No question about it. But I think that in today’s world of young people who think they know best, and thinking it’s cool to be a rebel just because, of course the risk taking character is going to be the most beloved. They’re beloved even though they shouldn’t be, and the largely sensible mom character is despised, precisely because she’s the sensible mom.
Sensible ain’t hip in today’s world. Yo! That’s my guess as to the larger reason people actually dislike Skyler. But I agree with you that I can’t get.
