I just got into NID Vijayawada , and I love to see your videos! I deeply appreciate the fact that u highlight the difficulties that u faced and describing the experience that u felt. At first even I was concerned about the fact that computer animation softwares won't be taught ,etc. I am really eager to experience all that NID has to offer in the next 4 years. Thanku for emphasizing the fact that we have to indulge in self exploration and work ourselves. Any surface modelling software is good enough like 3-D max or Rhino
Thank you sir.... Solid works is itself a surface modelling software?? Nd does this require for Mdes? As i m just about to join iit kanpur Mdes after 15 days.. So m curious
You don't need to learn any software in the first semester but it's good if you have the knowledge of any good 3-D software. solidworks also is good. mostly you need it to show your designs as concepts so it doesn't need heavy engineering design in the beginning that is why a surface modelling software is good enough for a designer

No idea man NID has become very unpredictable, but i would suggest b prepared for interview round.
Which software is best for desig 3D modeling
Autodesk maya for low poly works and animation and for Modeling Zbrush is best.

Actually NID gives you the environment and platform to showcase your creativity at international level, that's a big difference.

Sir as you said you are a industrial designer from NID Ahmedabad. So I've a big question in my mind that .. I'm a bachelor mechanical engineer and for me now is MDes in Industrial designer is preferable ? Or Mtech in Design Engineering is would be better? Please help me out of these, I've left a job to do master in design domain. PLEASE HELP.
It depends on what kind of work you would enjoy more in future, tech has a mathematical side n design is more artistic in nature relatively
@@Addylabs I like to work in design field in future and also currently working in a startup company as Mechanical Design Engineer, so please prefer the best design course for masters. As i like to design machines and user products. Please help .
See if you like the CAD /CAM stuff and enjoy the numbers n technology got for design enggineering, the tech side of machine is equally fun. pick any google global colleges/IITs

You can take education loan easily and finish it after you get placed.
NID has a freeship option as well.

@@Neel-kl4rk nah the ford scholarship+ stipent is provided by priv, but the regular freeship is provided by NID, but well it depends on your grades and income a well. This much for ahmedabad one,, idk rest branches

It is a myth. design needs rational thinking art is an expression of your feelings. sketching is a tool, what you produce from the sketching defines whether you are an artist or a designer

Yaa man no worries about IPR but also check global car design websites, you may find many many great concepts there for inspiration. Many a times we feel our design are very unique until we see other designers work around the globe. :)
