I love how all the sprites are animated like a 90s to 2000 cartoon.
Seems like a cool hidden gem boxing game thanks. Congrats on 100k!
BLTV, aint seen anything from you in a hot minute. I think the last thing I saw was the Tommy Morrison doc. How ya doin over there?
I was researching this game a while ago, It only ever sold about 12,000 copies sadly. (mainly due to it being a US exclusive)
That's still really low even for a US exclusive.
I'm in the US and have never seen or heard of this. I wonder if it had any marketing push at all
@DejaVoodooDoll It was released in PAL territories, I have a EU copy
@@MixMasterLar No I don't think it had much publicity I only found out about this game because it had a web browser demo on some game websites. I would like a copy buts it very hard to find
Don't know where you get your info, but this absolutely saw a PAL release.
I know this is an old comment, but like others have said, yeah it had a PAL release as well.
There’s no way this game sold enough copies. What a hidden gem.
I'm afraid you got Sweetness's name incorrect, it's "A pimp named Slickback"
And ya gotta say the whole thing! It's like A Tribe Called Quest
Your videos always brighten my day. This is because you find so many that I am not familiar with.
Gba is awesome. I'm currently playing minish cap for the first time. Playing it on an emulator handheld with thumbsticks. So many great games and re-releases on it.
Loving the GBA reviews! Gives me stuff to pop into my GameCube Gameboy player!
100k well deserved. Love my SNES drunk videos!
Man this seems like a good game! Thanks for showing and congrats again for 100k!
Amazing that after all these years there are GBA games I’ve never heard of
Damn !! I have never heard of this game and it sounds fantastic. Thanks !!
And I would like to congrats you about your 100K millestone ! Great work !!
I watch these videos to start my day off right
How in the heck have I never ever heard of this game? Thank you Mr. Drunk!
This game honestly looks pretty legit. Makes me regret never getting a GBA
And also you have a great test of your day too.
Bit of a nitpick: I wouldn't call any of the graphics in this game "pixel art", since it doesn't seem like they were created pixel-by-pixel, but rather by shrinking down graphics drawn with a brush in Photoshop or Flash or something.
RIGHT ON! Another great morning featuring a SNES DRUNK video! You too, sir, have a great rest of YOUR day 🙂
I found out about this game, like, yesterday. You stalking me? 😤
This was also one of the few games released for the DigiBlast handheld, a budget console from 2005 that mostly failed because - wait for it - the company that made it couldn't get enough chips in time for its planned release
Congratulations on 100k champ
def jam fight for my car
Definitely has a punch out feel. Not a bad little game. Obviously limited, but not a bad way to kill an hour. Great video as usual.
Haha just picked this one up on the phone since i can't get a hold of this game otherwise still laughed alot and seems like alot of fun! Got yourself a subscriber!
This game looks awesome! I never heard of it! Thanks for the info
This little beauty is amazing! Great show today brother!!
That game looks great for the time. I can’t believe I’ve met heard of it. Thanks for the video!
Great review. I've never been good at Punch Out, but I'll still check it out.
This game looks awesome!
Oh, gosh. I had this game! Yes, I remember playing it a good bit. I was never able to figure out the combos and I usually ended up getting stuck at Evil Wade. Fun game.
Hey GG to 100k!!!! 👍👍👍❤
A video talking about these unknown SNES comparison games would be cool. This game looks awesome.
solid recommend! gonna give this one a try.
Surprising Nintendo allowed this one. Looks like they liked the art style for Wii Punchout
@@Arjay82 Your inability to understand what I said is the issue. I was saying Nintendo took the art style from this for Wii Punchout. All better now or further explanation required?
wow this looks awesome. Added to this list.
Hah! Killa Gorilla, an obvious homage to T&C Surf Design’s Thrilla Gorilla. My cousin would use him and I would use the guy with the Tiki mask. We went so far with it that I made my own Tiki mask out of a pizza box and set up an obstacle course for my skateboard. I used to love that game. There were 2 other characters too...I think one was a bipedal cat and the other was a guy with sunglasses.
Please review Gekido. I just found out about it and love it. You're doing great bro!
I’m definitely going to have to check this game out.
This looks great!
Never heard of this game but looks awesome. The glow in the dark light stick attack had be rolling! (pun intended)
Wow looks awesome!
Great video!!!!
i had this game and havent played for yeaaaaars! i almost forgot what the name was.... its real random. but i remember it was great. i wonder how i even found out about it. glad to see other people enjoyed it too 😀
I found this game left on a park bench in Weston Super Mare when I was like.. fifteen.
I still have it somewhere.
Don't forget to get your tick man ✔
I saw a copy of this game at Wal-Mart a few years ago and I was ready to get it but the store literally wouldn't sell it to me because it somehow had been forgotten about and had no price in their system attached to it. I wasn't going to pay an over-inflated price for it but either way I was disappointed. I've always loved the Punch Out series with Super Punch Out being my favourite by far and this is a game I knew about when it was released but that was the only time I saw it anywhere.
There have been plenty of times I saw a game but didn't grab it when I had the chance for whatever reason only to never see it again or for a jacked up "collectible" price, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone who worked at Wal-Mart just took it for free eventually.
I was playing earlier this evening!! Its one of the best Punch out game ever!!
The art style immediately reminds me of Curse of Monkey Island, followed closely by Braindead 13. Love it
Wow, a Punch Out spiritual successor? :O
Loving the GBA hidden gems!
The mechanics' name is "Mac" as in little mac. The game hints towards Wade being little Mac's kid, just in case you didn't notice. Pretty cool!
This game looks greatt. never heard about it until now. Wish it played it back in the day.
They had a boxing game similar to this on the iPhone way way back when iPhone 3gs was the current model
Ooooooo I love this game! Super Punch Out is one of the first few games I ever beat 100%.
I've only ever heard this game's name before, so I always thought it was some generic realistic boxing game endorsed by a celebrity I had never heard of.
Nope! This looks totally awesome!
Never heard of it. Looks good.
I can now have a great rest of my day.
I actually have the cartridge for this game and I never really played it because when I was little I found it to be too difficult. But now I've started playing it again and I realised it's actually really good 🤣
I bought this gem already when I first heard of it a year ago, looks fantastic. Super PO is my favorite action game on Snes so this was an easy sell for me. But haven't dived into it yet, too much backlog!!
I so want this game , and a Motorola pager
0:38 Top Hat Gaming Man came up with this comparison I believe
It would be cool to see you do a collaboration with Jeremy Parish, you both produce such sincere and relaxed classic game videos.
Awesome!!
I never heard of this. Would of loved to have had a more comical Punch out on the system
I loved this game. I've never met anyone else who knew about it other than my brother, haha.
Just realised the Punch Out style would have been perfect for a Scott Pilgrim game.
I never liked boxing so I was never drawn to Super Punch-Out, still, one day looking at lists of the best SNES games it kept popping up so I tried, and I liked it! IDK if I was doing something wrong but the fights dragged foreeeever, like 10+ minutes, so I got bored and dropped it, but maybe I'll try it again sometime.
This game looks good too!
GBA had so many quirky games, this one looks awesome.
I beat this game with great difficulty the mechanic and his spanner powerup is the key to winning
I wouldn't mind a sequel of this game on the Switch...
Pato Box is one to check out if you're itching for a creative take on the Punch-Out formula
Hi I'm fat. Anyway there was a rumor that there was supposed to be a sequel for the Nintendo DS but was cancelled for unknown reasons
I need more boxing games in my life. And this looks like it should be right up there with Hajime No Ippo for fun.
I remember playing this game on a PSP GBA emulator back in the day - and I only fought Rocco McScrub (the first rival) multiple times.
Btw, there is a flash game that is a demo version of this game, and that demo made me want to play this game actually.
Considering this game looks like it came from Newgrounds, the flash demo makes a lot of sense.
Yeah I totally remember this game.
This one does have great looking animation.
another punch out-esque game out recently, its called Thunder Ray
I played this one briefly but I couldn't quite get into it... I was kinda in a hurry at the time though, so I didn't have the opportunity to really sink my teeth into it, but I wouldn't mind giving it another shot sooner or later...
I would say it’s more like Space Ace and punch out was stirred up in a bowl and made a game. Very very interesting find none tha less!
Game is fantastic, +1 recommend.
I would have bought this game back in the day if I had any idea what it was like.
"Well worth checking out.. Any way you can"
Hmmm... If I didn't know any better and it wasn't illegal, I'd think you were trying to tell me to emulate this...
It's not exactly cheap to find these days, at least for a GBA game
The game is like the hair-business in the front, party in the back.
Looks cool
I hope you cover Road Rash on the gba next time, its a good motorcycle racing game with combat😁
Boxing game Sounds a lot like the movie U-turn with Sean Penn
I Will try IT. Tnkssss
100,000 !?? Gpd job dude
I’d never discover these gems if it wasn’t for Drunk.
This game looks really cool! It reminds me of a much better version of another boxing game on GBA called Boxing Fever, which is horrendously BS.
Boxing Fever is horrible it is the epitome of 1/2 assed
Cool hidden gems like this make me regret not getting a GBA (wasn’t into handheld games at the time)
This looks just too funny
Are there more Punch-Out!! Clones like this?
It’s just like the movie U-turn
I'm lucky to still have mine since its like 50 buck's now
There is Super Ko boxing game on mobile phone with exactly same visual and playing style, it’s still an awesome game though
From the art in the thumbnail, I thought this game would be trash, but the animation and art style is adrien really nice.
Stepped up the thumbnail game, eh? Nice.
Looks more like an early 2000's New Grounds Flash animation game to me.
Fun Fact: This game was supposed to be called "Wade Hixton's Sucker Punch", but the developers of the Sly Cooper and Infamous games, Sucker Punch, apparently sued to keep that from happening.
Wade looks like the main character from Brain Dead 13 lol.
when i first finding out about this game i thought wade hixton was a real person for a while
Am I the only one who noticed the kid with the power glove at 3:04??
"Sweetness, who's pretty much mid-2000's Snoop Dogg"
LOL NOT AT ALL! C'mon Drunk, thats a classic 70's PIMP!
