I understand some people's frustration at pulling Ben Brown but I also understand why he got pulled. Would've been nice to see him finish it out but he's never threw that many pitches.
An yea Brown's era excluding any relief appearances is at a 1.80. His numbers even with all of his outings included is above and beyond what should be expected from a rookie. Cubs starting pitching hasn't really been a big issue though. It all comes back to the offense struggling this month. But without the great starting pitching they'd easily be 10 games under 500. Need the offense to pick it up to make these great starts end with a win.
