The Real South Africa has done its first reaction video. We looked at Wode Maya's video on his issue with going from Ghana to Benin and the problems he faced trying to promote Africa as a African. We felt that it was spot on as we feel the same way here in South Africa. Africa for Africans.

This is great to share, its time for Africans to break the silence, record, and expose how things are done to promote change. Its up to Africans. Africans American can't speak for Africa cause many of us have not even been to Africa. The youth have a chance to promote change, get into government positions, creators of laws, education, etc .....
iyoo Yode 😱this is scary!!! I'm a South African & my mother travelled to Zambia via the Botswana bordder and she complained about the same thing in the Botswana Border (where officials demanded bribes from those who needed to cross). I am EMBARRASSED to see Diasporians (who are "also Africans receive the same treatment, right in their father's land💔💔💔. Please fellow Africans let's reconsider this, IT'S VERY SHAMEFUL!!!.
Wode Maya a BIG THANK YOU 🙏 for opening our eyes to these trivial outragious corruptions in Africa's Border Gates. I explore my continentof Africa through your camera lense and you've inspired to travel & tour our continent of Africa. Thank you again for heeding this calling & opening the doors for us & Diasporians not to be afraid to see Africa🤝🙏🙏
Botswana border is a mess, a lot of complaints from that border. It's all about bribes. I've crossed to Zimbabwe and into Zambia with no issues.
If you ever watched Pan African parliament you will see how Foreign languages has divided us we don't trust each other and we are competitors instead of working together for the same goal to make Africa great we have everything in the continent you can count minerals, wildlife, good weather etc if we can work together this continent could be the leader of the world.
Its a shame for real
Truly and wisely spoken
That’s because some French speaking people get their instructions from the western ambassadors in their home countries, so they will always be on a collision course with anyone and any ideas that threaten the grip of the foreign governments they answer to.
Yhooo l watched brother's it was a disaster Malema himself couldn't handle them women grabbing men ngama washing ,l remember when he said yesessssss when a woman from Togo said they should move the parliament to France 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 l can't get over it,if l want to remind myself how these our brothers and sisters with their leaders, tjohhhhh it's a shame it is a long walk work Africa Unite.
💯....foreigners _Agenda_ clearly accomplished
South Africa and SADC have really tried, for twenty years, to influence things in the right direction, via the AU, but people in some parts of the continent like things the way they are in their countries, the ones who benefit from the chaos.
I'm glad the other African countries they starting to talking about issues that has became a norm. We went to Zambia and went to Waterfall in Zimbabwe it was good experience so it certain countries who still do things. Botswana is one of them one the CZcams from South Africa was complaining about monies that is paid without receipts. Unfortunately South Africa will not open boarders because we will be over populated because of people who doesn't want to stand for their countries and make change if you vote . We fight for our Country we don't stand for a nonsense
You got boers forming their own state in South Africa and you talking about other Africans coming there?
You are a part of the problem
Nuff respect Wode Maya
Transparency is what's going to change things.
Bless up 🙏🙏

The irony is they only remember we are one when they get to South Africa but even when they go back to their countries they still revert back to the francophone and anglophone.
Thank you. We appreciate that!💯
Why only black? MOST of Africa ain't black right...
The corruption in Africa is sickening, huuuuu it's really sad!!
Our traditional African culture is centred on values, it would have been easier for us to unite, hundreds of years ago, when we shared the same values but due to outside exploitation and indoctrination, our values have made us strangers with one another, we with, sometimes good reason, can't trust one another. A unification without the unification of values, will quickly degenerate into exploitation. Before we flee our countries, we must ask ourselves, what are we running from, and can we change that is in us, causing us to flee our motherland, lest we go and become a burden in another man's lands.
@@rositascarborough674 Very true, the has to be an economic foundation for unification, politics alone won't suffice
Even the Europeans are still struggling with this issue. Britain pulled out of the EU, partly because their people were no longer happy with the lopsided migration patterns.
@@baphithi So true.. In Africa's case it will be worse; you have rebel nations, thug nations, in the midst

I actually cross that border very often and I relate to what wodemaya is talking about
There should be some kind of improvement since you use that route pls suggest to their officials maybe they can listen
Oh my. Can you briefly share your experiences? 🙂
This is so sad it brings tears to my heart
Literally 💔
Well it's a romantic idea that we don't need borders in Africa, in all honesty we do need them we are a politically, and economically unstable continent..for us to adopt the 'American borderless states' we would need a central government with one President, one currency and more or less a common constitution and bill of rights..what would be the use of moving around Africa when u need to foreign exchange in every country?? All this is possible but first Africa needs stability, and recognize that we are the same people yet different in some aspects such as traditions, and leadership styles, diversity, religion etc... I would be in favor of an African passport than open borders
The 🐘 in the room that African's are not ready to face. I'm with you there those Border's should stay there until 54African countries can take care of their citizens. Travelling and tourism means Escaping the socio ills in majority of African's.
You are right we need a common currency. But europe have different presidents but you can go from a country to another country if you are part of the EU
It is about ease of travel
@@africaine4889 Europe countries are developed and stable no one goes to another country because they need medical attention because their own has Collapsed.
Yes an African Union passport can work, much like the Sadc passport and free trade does...
Very few countries in the world have favourable borders; most were attained through wars etc. Africa's borders are a product of colonization and we should just accept it. Open borders like in the EU only work if we share the same level of development and economic parity otherwise, the more developed countries among us will be overwhelmed with economic migration like here in SA.
Yes, improvements should be made regarding ease of travel and doing business on the continent. Governments or blocks such as ECOWAS and SADC should make much more effort to develop their regions i.e. SA with Zim for accelerated upliftment leading to open borders once parity is achieved.
We're living in fantasy land if we think Africa didn't have borders before the colonist arrived. African Americans, Carribbeans I think should be given ease of access in the form of extended visas for visitation/residential as an ancestral right. The AU is the body through which most of these things should be addressed.
📍💯 this is reality Africans don't want to face.
@Rosita Scarborough well in all honesty SA has and is attracting the best minds all over the world.. Notice how functional our private sector is from insurance, architecture, medical, and banking sectors etc,, notice how indemand SA trained talent is across the world...we got talent problem is utilizing it and keeping it within SA borders

Open borders doesn't mean openly without checking. But someone passing with the right documents don't need to pay bribe, still borders needs to do check ups because some blacks are born bad
As a South African,l have experienced it going to Zambia via Zimbabwe. It's hell,no customer service at all. Till today l have never healed and l vowed that I will never ever visit those countries again unless by air . Nightmare indeed. 🇿🇦

African American must come to South Africa
Me and my daughter was in South Africa this month for 2 weeks. No problem because we came on a cruise line. It was great! Wow! I didn't know about the borders and didn'thave any problems. We went from Cape Town, Namibia, Luderitz, Malvis Bay, Robben Island and Mossel Bay, the Zulu Tribe, just to name a few and all the way out there to the penguins 🐧. Sad to hear that this isn't really how it goes. Everyone was so nice and hospitable. I thought that'd we go back for another destination but this video is discouraging 😞.
South Africa is a totally different country from Western countries so we do things differently
When you travel in The Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries, it comprising 16 Member Southern African States (You can googles these states),
You shouldn't experience such problems but in Mozambique you might experience some discomforts while travelling there or within the country,
West Africa is different beast, we hope things will change soon.
@Hlengiwe Kunene you missed the point. It's not about South Africa. No one disputes the fact that you do things different. There's alot of other countries in the motherland that have made their borders almost feel seamless . But here we're talking about those that are not even trying.
@@gmambo2053 understood dear
☹️ Aww
I agree with Wodemaya
They don’t do all this craziness to other foreigners though it’s just a shame how we treat each others
Imagine if Africa would completely unite. They would have to say goodbye to tribalism and those in power have to willingly give it up. Some do not want that and Rwanda and Togo would have different ideas on how to govern. This is also about ego.
I just recently traveled to Rwanda from Uganda..BY BUS, the worst part of the trip was the bus ride. The Rwanda border officials were extremely professional and courteous. The Ugandan border officials made only hints towards being "appreciative" that I took as echos of prior times and conditions, but I had no issues.
These are same Africans who thinks United States of Africa must only took effect in South Africa

The reason the Blanfords are in SA is exactly because they understand there are so much variety in our country, that's why they're not in West Africa or central Africa... because they know here are constructive people, not only the ANC regime...

Corruption in South Africa is another level.
It’s a pity, the people who have power to dismantle these borders seem to care less because it doesn’t affect them. It only affects you down there. Perhaps it could also be that they don’t want to make their handlers angry.

If it was not for countries like Zambia, Mozambique, Zambia in particular suffered a lot to free South Africa, the country lost 10’s of billions to help South Africa, which they’ll never recoup because today South Africa benefits from Zambia than Zambia benefits from South Africa. As countries in Africa develop, and remember most countries around you are developing faster than you are, and yt people are not your friends. In 40 yrs you will regret this statement
@@watulukamedia6724 how did they suffer to free South Africa can you elaborate on that . Oh by the way weve lived with those people way before ya'll since from the 1400s when the first Portuguesse Bartolomeu and Vasco came here . We know their psychology and weve never viewed them as our friends contrary to what yall believe . The countries you mentioned there didn't suffer they accomodated few political exilists and we should commend them for that but that doesn't mean that its a passport for everybody to disrespect the sovereignty of the country. We are African we should respect one another house ...but ive realized that South Africa isn't afforded that respect people feel like they can come and go as they pleases . Thats anti African nature atleast from this part of Africa the extreme South of Africa . During the olden days no Shaka's subject would just invade Moshoeshoe's territory un announced and visa viz . Open borders in Africa is a big NONO! Maybe I should say it is okay as long as you exclude SA. I get it, the colonizers drew these maps and left us in this predicament. However, it is dishonest of us to pretend that we were always one people. The colonizers failed to recognize that we are diverse people with ideas, beliefs, and cultures, and chose to label us as black. And that was their biggest mistake, and now we're trying to make the same mistake too because we are failing to recognize our own diversified nature. This open borders fantasy will only destroy some of the existing economies in the continent because countries with poor economies will see their citizens flock in troves to countries with the best or better economies. All this noise made by CZcamsrs does not represent the real concerns from the ordinary citizens in African countries. Most people want their own countries to get rid of corruption and create jobs. We got to stabilize our local economies before we can stress out about making the lives of CZcamsrs more convenient. It'll be nice to be able to travel easily within the continent but that is not the biggest issue we have at this time.
granted that we are not ready for open borders yet bcz our continent is not stable enough to do that but looking at our economies dependence on outside markets ,it will do us alot of good if we could trade between ourselves and remove those blocks that are hindering our progress as a continent
