This is not the biggest tree I've cut with this machine, but it's definitely out of it's optimum efficiency range. It's hard to see in the video, but I am also sitting on a short bank, so it's always a little more difficult to process on an incline.

Thank you! I have more footage to upload whenever I get time. I think I'll try my hand at some editing this video but I need to find a good editing program. Any ideas?

That pine looks like heavy. Is that all go paper wood? No logs?

Yes white pine is generally quite heavy, however these tree were starting to die and had lost some weight. They were still quite heavy to pull around with an H7/C4 combo. From pine we usually (including the wood in this video) cut saw material down to 8" diameter, then pulpwood down to about 4". That obviously depends on whether the stem is still straight and how knotty it is. Right now we are cutting red pine bolts (saw material) down to about 8.5", then if it's straight and clean, we can cut more bolts out down to 6" for another sawmill. At that point, the rest is pulpwood.

I've seen better operators ,my brother went broke with a ponsse ,sell it before you do,buy a chainsaw and be a real logger ,right?

No doubt there are better operators. I'm not running a ponsse anymore. I'll go back to a ponsse absolutely as soon as it's possible. I've yet to see anyone build a machine that'll match. Ponsses have made us more money than any other machine hands-down.
