Homer Quits His Job

- Smithers has never really liked Homer Simpsons, but when Homer pushes him over the edge, Smithers goes all out to make Homer's life terrible. Then Homer tells everyone he can about the event, including the police.
This is an extended remake of one of my earliest videos, if you're new here you may not know it. I really like how this one turned out, everything went wrong for Homer lol. The biggest edit here was when the cops were laughing at Homer, it use to be Marge. And when Marge pointed her finger.

I don't understand why Marge forces Homer to go back. She knows Homer was raped in there and that he promised her that he would never do a stupid thing again, yet she forces him back to an awful workplace where he is abused with an undignified paycheck, instead of going back to Moe's who is still sexually abusing him, but the paycheck is a lot more gratificant enough to let him go occasionally to fancy restaurants.

In situations where money is tight and employment options are limited, people will tell them to "suck it up", even just for the money... Up

Man, Marge became even more evil as she ordered Homer to go back even though he was sexually abused and Burns certainly would do this again, i think this was probably revenge for him selling her to Artie.

Or it shows that people don't take male-on-male sexual abuse as seriously as male-on-female abuse. The Simpsons is a satirical show, after all.
Considering how old Monty is, I'll bet that "revenge" was very cold, indeed.

In an alternate ending, Mr. Burns says that it's company policy to give Homer the plague, making him eat drums of toxic waste resulting in a fatal tumor.
I thought Burns' plague would be all the STD's he canonically has

This has to be one of your finest pieces of work.
I love how a lot of these videos have a title that makes it seem like nothing dark will happen. But we all know better.
The more you watch these, the more details you focus on, like background scenes and what Maggie does.
@3:10-3:15 You can see Maggie upset that Marge isn't feeding her with the spoon. The animators actually incorporate Maggie into the family quite well, in line her abilities.
Yet another awesome episode, Dark Simpsons. Honestly, I was expecting Homer to activate the Nuclear Plant's self destruct, start a fire or something like that after he quit. Still, good episode.
I don't know why Marge changed her mind so quick, he even had a chance with the President itself!

This was really good, maybe not as dark as others but pretty scary since many of us can relate to the fear of being stuck in a horrible job. Great job as always!

i like how it going into mr. burns' revenge speech made me briefly wonder on whether it'd finish or if it'd cut and he'd actually bide his time, and i was pleasantly surprised when it went the latter route. those kinds of guessing games are part of the fun of dark simpsons !

Marge is such a good wife. Persuading Homer not to give up and keep going at it on his job despite the adversities and hardships he may face. Who knows where he could've ended up? The bowling alley? Eww!
When he grabbed the duff at the end, I expected the house to explode.... but then Burns gave the wink...

You know to Homer's credit he did figure out his job is mostly just monitoring the reactor all day and he's just basically being paid to be there in case something happens. It's only natural he would goof off at work.

I was thinking of Ralph Wiggum as a serial killer constantly murdering and making Opi-O's. He could also insist that he loves Lisa Simpson and is one day gonna marry her, but he doesn't kill her, just a lot of other people. Therre is a lot of corpse footage from Halloween episodes, and with rotoscoping he can do the Terminator appearing through the bushes instead of Homer, followed by the Flanderses all bloody and on the ground. The leprecaun tells him to, "Burn the house down!! BURN THEM ALL!!" Cue the meltdown at the nucular power plant or any other fire. Of course, the episode has to end on the line, "Why do people run from me?"
