Hi, I'm June Yoon. I'm a Korean voice actor in Los Angeles. To help our my voice actor colleagues, I make acoustic panels. :0)

Thank you!
I saw your video with the pillow cases of the Rockwool. I'm going to get a pack of Rockwool, but I've also got Sanctuary cellulose insulation that is a good bit cheaper than Rockwool, and I can put this stuff in pillow cases for even MORE attenuation that can be more easily molded in corners.
Thank you for the great ideas! My initial goal is get a podcast started, but I've always dreamed of doing voice acting / audio book narration.
You've got a great voice, by the way!
I have no idea what Santuary Cellulose insulation is, but I would still use Rockwool Safe n Sound, as it is engineered to be sound-dampening. It's also fire-proof/resistant, which is an added bonus. :0)
@@JuneYoon_ Cellulose is old ground up newspapers, etc. and fire treated.
It isn't as good as Rockwool, but it's much cheaper.
I've got 24 pillow cases coming and I plan to use both...Rockwool between the layers of moving blankets and the pillowcases full of cellulose in corners.
I'm so excited! Thanks again for the videos!
I do wonder if I can cut the Rockwool into 1 1/2" thick batts...the PVC is 1 1/4" thick, so the 1 1/2" would be just the right size.
Since my basement is unfinished, really the only sound I'm trying to keep out is the furnace in another area.
I wan to try this but I'm really worried about rock wool in the tiny space I have to work with. Putting rock wool in a tight closet space I would really be breathing these in all around.
Have a look at my DIY Acoustic Panel video - the Rockwool is fully enclosed in fabric and wood. Plus, Rockwool is mineral wool, not fiberglass like the Cornings 703. :0) I have multiple Rockwool panels that I've made inside my own booth and haven't noticed any changes in my health.
@@JuneYoon_ Gotcha. Yea, I did watch your other video. I guess my main concern is how small/enclosed my space is to be breathing in such close proximity to the panels. My booth is maybe 3ft/1ft/10ft I'd essentially be brushing shoulders with the panels.
would you be able to share a link to the panels?
Absolutely! - juneyoon.actor/acousticpanels
