What is up people of CZcams today I went to Sebastian inlet, and finished using a live Mojjaras as bait. I cut I caught some decent size jacks along with the first redfish. I have caught in almost 2 years. It was a decent day of fishing and I had a lot of fun. Ended up hooking a really nice snook but sadly, it broke me on the rocks. the rod I'm using is a 10 foot okuma rock away surf rod with a 5000 Diawa Saltist MQ spooled up with 20 pound Beyond Braid
Nice to see you back in action. Seems like the bite was good that day. 👍
Everyone was catching lots of snook. But I only managed to hook one. Still a pretty good day had a lot of fun
Let’s go 2
I’m going to Sebastian’s tomorrow, does anybody know any bait shops nearby for live shrimp?
Hey a big reason you weren’t catching too many snook is because of the amount of weight u had on, most of the time u want at nest 3/4 of an ounce, a lot of these bigger game fish want it to be presented more naturally, tight lines
At most*
Thanks next time I go for snook I’ll definitely be using lighter weights . Thanks for watching!
I see the saltist reel but what rod do you have paired up with it?
That was an Okuma Rockaway 10 ft. I’ve switched to a 9 foot Star Paraflex because that rod was way to flimsy for me personally.
Does your bait like sit on the bottom, im heading out there tmr and trynna fight one of em I got 1.5oz weight and 2/0 hook
When the current is moving so will the bait. Even with a 3oz it’ll move but you want it to move with the current. I’ve been using 1.5oz with good luck recently
@@twotonedfishingcaught some nice jacks over there on a 4k fuego then I let it sit on the rail and my setup flew in the water😭
@@frostizz2072 lesson learned 🤣 the jacks have been fired up with the mullet run
@@twotonedfishing I was using small green backs and they slammed them like the instant I tossed it in using 1/0 hook
@@frostizz2072 the jacks are a ton of fun for sure. They put up a great fight. Glad to hear you had a good time out there 🤙🤙
What size sinker and hook do you ise
I was using about a 3-4 circle hook. And 2oz weights but I think going lighter with like a 1oz would be a better move
@@twotonedfishing i went once and got skunked and saw everyones way of ctatching so im gonna head back in few weeks, im prob gonna go with a 1/0 circle most ppl were using small mojjoras for the jacks
Yes and personally the incoming tides are the best time for the jacks . But you can get them on both obviously good luck 👍
Does this hurt the fish?
Extremely
