The bear was shown to be more intelligent than humans, and the two idiots simply left themselves in the bear's clutches.
Not sure why they have scenes that are so dark that no one can see what's going on. A lot of movies have this.

Bears are pretty smart. Last year when I was hiking I had a mama bear move herself and her cubs off the trail to let me pass then move them back after I passed. I humbley said thanks mama as I passed

To go inside Grizzly Bear country without bear spray, a shotgun, and a rifle is an act of insanity. I would be afraid to go into the woods. I lock my doors and say my prayers at night during the day I wear a whistle around my neck and I look under cars to make sure there’s no one or nothing. Hiding underneath.

I rooted for the bear -- as I always do in these "nature's revenge" movies. The humans are always a bunch of teenage imbeciles who deserve what is coming to them, so you cheer when they get bumped off. One exception was The Edge (1997), which is more complex and well worth seeing.
The Edge is definitely one movie worth watching.

So remember if a grizzly gets you . Drop to the ground cover your face and neck . That way it makes you easier for the grizzly to eat . So your not struggling not letting the bear bite into where ever it wants to first . Which eventually it will anyways .

@@shaknit if it is a female with a cub. She might just wack the person around and then leave if the mother and cubs had eaten and are full. But if they have not eaten and are hungry or a male. A human is no different laying on the ground covered up. Then a grizzly finding a dead animal and eating it. Or finding a wounded animal and finishing it off and eating it. It's not like a grizzly is thinking. I am starving. But I cannot eat this because of it's a human. A human to them is meat. Here in Montana people have gotten eaten by grizzlies. Going in a person's tent. Dragging the person out in the sleeping bag and eating them. Happened just a couple of years ago to a lady. And has happened to hunters often. Then the Fish and Game go hunt the grizzly. Get a autopsy done. And find human remains in the stomach. They found all kinds of pieces in the bears stomach of the lady. Being already in a sleeping bag and the grizzly chewing threw the bag to eat the lady was like a human burrito. She could have played dead covered her neck. And still would have got eaten. But you would not need to duck and cover. Because the bear would be covering you. And eating you like a nice tasty duck.😊 Ever get so hungry but you will eat something you do not really want. But because your so hungry you eat it anyways? Welcome to the life of a grizzly most days. I really feel like eating a deer. But cannot get one. Oh what's that walking. Looks strange. Oh well who cares I am going to catch it and eat it.

I have to find okut what the make of that Jeep was! A dead battery, leaky radiator with no water and overheatng engine, flat tires after the bear attack, rolled over a cliff, and crushed by the bear and they were still able to drive a away!! Great advertisement!

It is clear that for this kind of film it is necessary for the protagonists to play the role of absolute idiots without the slightest criteria and doing everything contrary to what good common sense, logic and prudence indicates.
These kinds of ‘horror’ movies might be ok if the main characters weren’t a bunch of dysfunctional kids who surprisingly made it this far in life!
Their extreme immaturity in the face of extreme danger is comical at best and frustrating for most viewers.
