I miss the days when I would go to the video store and browse the box covers to find some film that looked good that I hadn't seen yet. Pop it in the VCR and eat pizza after work. I miss a lot of things I didn't appreciate at the time. It sucks getting old.
For real Bro.👌🏼 ...😢
It does suck getting old. I’m not liking it.
Right you are, and the dying process will challenge most of us even fiercer!
Me too.. It brings back good memories of taking my kids to pick out a movie… Seemed like such a hassle at the time… Took forever for them to decide, always asking for candy and some other alluring items that any kid would want….. Amazing how looking back in hindsight, they were the Best of Times….. Carpe Diem ☮️

80s horror movies are literally the best. Even some low budget ones like this.
Agree d
I love the scenes that show the same three scarecrows one after another. Notice, also that the last scarecrow appears to be breathing
نعم صحيح 🌹🌷🌹
Really , can ya suggest sm of m'em ?
In case anyone is wondering, this is the un-cut version of the film.
Bet cut version shit never knew there was cut version have you seen it
That explains why it seemed more blood and guts than I remember....

Remember watching this movie as a kid. Scared me so much I couldn't finish it. But here I am as an adult. Time to beat this film for good.
I hate the fact that nobody talks about this movie. It’s such a unique horror film, it deserves so much more attention for what they accomplished with the tight budget they had. It’s my favorite movie!
Ok when it's over il comment. Just started
Yeah I'd never heard of this before and I don't understand why. Its awesome and now one of my new favs.
You lied, Liz.
Cool, I'm going to watch it, sounds interesting. . .
cos it sucks.
I met Michael simms the one that is playing Curry an awesome guy. And Ted Vernon the guy who produced the film and starring as the character Corbin. He is an awesome guy as well now living in Florida with his lovely wife doing his classic car business!! I have thought of doing a remake of this film pretty much the same just new people playing the same characters! The other two characters Roxanne and Jack are great also I thought that everything about this horror movie rocked! The characters, the acting, the screenplay, the scarecrows, absolutely everything!!
The movie itself wasn’t that good BUT towards the end it got real creepy. The guy gets killed by the scarecrows and his buddy takes off running into the house. Once inside the house there’s a knock on the door….it’s his buddy and he wants to come inside. That was creepy and the best part of the movie.
The best scarecrow movie ever! Been watching it for years.
The dog was the coolest cucumber out of them all. I think the dog has the money under the floor boards of the plane.
This. And dark night. Of the. Scarecrow. Which came out in 1981. Both this and that one absolute classics
@@jeffreyharnden7523 Dark Night of the Scarecrow is the emperor of scarecrow movies but this movie was pretty good.
Best Scarecrow movie made ever :) the atmosphere and story are ace
Yeah. This deserves a prequel. Let's see the story of these creepy evil farmers when they were still alive, doing human sacrifices and embedding their souls into these scarecrows as undead flesh golems.
1980's Horror movies are the best! 💯👍🏽👌🏽
Eric Hernandez, Actually, the best horror movies are the ones that were made in 1856.

I graduated in 1986! I remember me and my girlfriends going to the Blockbusters or Erols and renting movies. The cheesier the better! I am in the middle of watching all the old stuff , love it!
"Scarecrows"(1988) is a good enough cult supernatural horror movie! This atmospheric and mystery movie is very underrated!
That's cuz it went straight to home video , instead of to movie theaters
Absolutely love this film!!! Actually paid £15 plus postage to get a copy of the dvd from America.
Anything from 80's honestly is golden👌🏼
🤭
I watched this virtually on loop back in the 90s one week in summer. I've always loved its very creepy atmosphere
One of my ALL TIME faves! This film has sadly been SOOOOO overlooked !
Thanks so much for your comment. We're trying to spread the word!

This movie scared the sh*t out of me as a child. Haven't seen it in a while.
I was 28 in 1988 but have never heard of this, I'm jumping in.
This is a long lost gem
Ahhh the 80s, best movies i ever saw. From Chuckie to Freddy we love them all.
Dont forget jason
i remember watching this, child's play and another movie called the silver bullet. every weekend when i had nothing to do.
This movie has way more of a resident evil feeling than any of the actual movies do.
I love that opening piano theme, wish it played more throughout the movie. I remember being creeped out big time at the end when the scarecrow comes to the house pretending to be his friend.
😳
"Spoil alert" Try remembering it when you give up parts of movies.
Well look who it is! Ha, keep the music flowing 🍻
"Hey, Currie? How're we gonna' live in Mexico if we're dead?"
If you like that piano style you might be interested in Midnight Syndicate.
A cult fave of mine for many years.
Goes to show you that a fun movie can be made with a low budget.
Short simple storyline, likeable not familiar actors, great real special effects (no cgi), quotable lines that are funny at times and a creepy everglades atmosphere..Best scarecrow movie ever.
Saw this movie as a teenager back in the 90s, still holds up IMO
1:11:46 I'm not posting a spoiler in case someone reads this who hasn't seen the movie yet; but this is such a perfectly creepy part! Watching that all do that . . . _to wait._ It's a detail that's especially creepy because it's quiet and subtle.
@@zxyatiywariii8 Also, I can imagine the now transformed Jack standing in the empty house, in silence..in the dark..waiting
Just found this gem!! It is awesome!!
My mom and I enjoy watching this movie. I give this fantastic movie 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. Please keep this movie we want to see this another time.
Time to watch it again❤❤❤
man these old movies are engaging unlike today's modern movies. The atmosphere and the music make it all seem so relevant.
This film was actually pretty good. I don't recall ever seeing this film before.
One of my favorites, better than the new stuff
Thanks for the nice words!
I never realized the reason Corbin's gun works is because his ammo is "BLESSed"
GOD BLess
Such a quality movie with a lot of great scenes on a limited budget. Curry musing that they are in purgatory without it being confirmed or elaborated on is one of my favorite moments.
This is one if the worst movies ever ! I could make a better horror flick with my phone. Lame acting...if u call that acting
One of my favs. Nice simple story, atmospheric, and the actors obviously showed up to work. This movie is a prime example of people who know what they're doing going into a project with basically no money and still producing something worth repeat viewings.
Heard it was a miserable experience though.
It was filmed in Florida, during the summer time.
Unbearable heat, mosquitoes, etc.
@@molasorrosalom4846 I believe it. That just makes me appreciate it even more knowing that despite a low budget and uncomfortable conditions they still got it done and made something great.
@@GeisKing1 this movie was made for $450.000 thousand dollars , and it went straight to home video , making $3 million dollars ... not bad if you ask me 👌🏻

Lucked out in the 90's, scored my copy at a local video store going out of business. The first time I watched it, been strung-up ever since. Cah. Pass the corn popped
80's horrors! Classic! Loved it
Oh man, it really took a long time for that grenade to go off.
It's actually entertaining. I was a little surprised when I discovered this gem.
That creepy ass breathing scarecrow in the beginning and the end ! Great job !!
I was here to mention that too! Also the harmonica making sound as it lay on the ground. 10 / 10 movie ❤❤❤
Wow this was creepy af! Real latex effects are so much better than cgi.
A high tech kidnapping, high tech equipment…..but wait…that highly trained criminal doesn’t know how to hot wire and old truck!? 😂😂😂
But, wait.. spoiler. It has no engine
I enjoyed this movie worth the watch the dog in the movie survived thank God
The sequel came out last Halloween. It's called "Dr. Tongue's 3-D House Of Scarecrows," and stars Meeni Scleroso and Gregory Puck. Bigger budget this time around, even though it looks like it was filmed underwater.
This is a classic! Thanks for posting it!

Pretty good movie ! Saw this yrs ago . Don't remember what happens in the end . Don't want to spoil it for anyone else . THANKS FOR POSTING !
ok
this movie is fantastic, the end is a masterpiece.
I find this to be a very well done horror movie. The score is good, the props are amazing and overall seems to be a very frightening situation to be in. It's a shame that most of these critics have a stick up their asses and want the same old jumpscare BS. I find the ending to be my favorite part. It's the right amount of horror and creepiness. I'd give this a 8/10 only because there were a couple of parts to be laughable and not in a way that would discourage people from watching the film. Personally if they stuck to this script and provided updated props and no SGI I would love to see a remake of this.
Thanks for checking this out and for the great comments!

Definitely the best horror movie I can think about that involves scarecrows

This part I accidentally walked in on at 5 years old scared me immensely bc I didn't know what was going on. Now I look at it not that scary I remembered the knife being a pitchfork for some reason that's probably why I thought it was worse than what it actually is.

Why would the surviving robber use a grenade to kill the zombie, ending up dead?
The grenade explosion time was 6 seconds.
Some great details and a clever plot makes for an enjoyable watch. This movie is far better than you might realise. Highly atmospheric.
