  • When I set out to make this movie I didn't realise how in depth it would become, but considering most windsurf boards have 48 different footstrap options, it's no wonder I have gone into such detail with The Theory Of Everything- how and why to use footstraps to improve many different aspects of windsurfing from beginner windsurfer to expert windsurfer.
    If you learn from this movie please kindly make a Paypal donation to me intuition@guycribb.com perhaps the amount of one or two footstraps? (20-50 Euros) Due to C-19 travel restrictions I am unable to create income through INtuition coaching trips around the world, THANK YOU!!!!
    This movies splits footstraps into IN or OUT, SPREAD, SIZE, BACK or FORWARDS, and coaches you using INtuition's atomic TUNING, TACTICS and TECHNIQUE. At the end of the movie there is a CRIBB SHEET for you to print out and DETAILS DARLING all about the straps.
    Technique includes how to jump, how to get into footstraps, how to windsurf faster, windsurf freestyle, how to hydrofoil windsurf and pump windfoil, how to windsurf upwind, freeride, accelerate faster, learn how to sail in chop, how to adjust and tune your footstraps, how to improve wave riding, wave sailing, hydrofoil windsurfing, get windsurfing better on a freestyle waveboard, planing carve gybes, the best windsurf coaching...
    All drone film by Guy Cribb videoing his IN2 guests in Bonaire, Brazil, Greece, Hawaii, Australia, Ireland and UK from recent windsurfing coaching courses.
    Please share this movie with your friends and subscribe. With the travel restrictions I am going to make more how to windsurf tutorials, if they are financially supported, so please help me!
    Please join me in the UK for windsurf, windfoil and surf foiling coaching, or send me your youtube videos for me to analyse and improve your windsurfing- surf@guycribb.com
    Many thanks for watching and becoming part of Windsurfing INtuition!

    super but disagree slighlty when it comes to jumping with small boards, I think the straps should be tight so your foot is really locked in by lifting your toes but nevertheless you can bail out quickly by pulling back.

    • @guycribb7167
      @guycribb7167  Před 4 lety +4

      Hi everyone- thanks for the question- IF you are already good at windsurfing pumping then with every pump you generate power in the sail AND mast foot pressure. So when you use that technique foiling it can get you moving forwards well, but that mast foot pressure is preventing the board from rising. If this is the case, then with both feet in the footstraps, once you have basic forward speed by pumping the sail, turn your attention to pumping the board, literally bouncing it up and down like bunny hopping a bicycle. There's much more to it than that, but if you're already good at pumping a sail, the thing to focus on now is pumping the board. It is also worth trying to use an underhand front grip as this promotes lifting not pushing down on the mast foot- note this tip is purely for wind foiling in this situation- plus the underhand grip will let you rake the sail back, that also reduces mast foot pressure to allow the nose to rise. So- continue with your windsurf pumping, but try and underhand grip. Once you have some forward speed, change your attention to bouncing the board. Obviously I could go into way more detail if you send me a video for INvip!
