The actual handle on the FireMaple is a very nice touch! Seems like a pretty good value. I don't carry any of the super-lights, but maybe one day I will venture into that territory!
Man they are really neat systems to use & I’ve been successful with the Jetboil for years now. But the FireMaple is gonna be fun I think 👌🏼😎 Thanks Dave!
@@MrLeonidas0001 Yes because MSR sort is a bit iconic when it comes to these types of systems. I think many see them and just go, hey, yeah, a Jetboil, when it isn't. At least in my part of the world. I'm yet to have one in the "arsenal" as yet but if my kid sees this, I think one might come his way?????
Right now I've got an MSR pocket rocket, (The smaller one with no igniter) Valtcan Titanium cup (750ml) with a bail and butterfly handles, it fits a 110 g fuel bottle, the stove itself and the little jet boil stabilizer tripod. Plus a cotton bandana to use as a hot pot holder. I've been thinking about moving to a system like a jetboil or fire maple because of the heat exchanger. I was wondering if it really gave you that much of an advantage over just a flat bottom cup? Also not a huge fan of the thermal wrap the jet boils have because it takes away your ability to cook over a real fire if you're out of gas. Every time I use the little jetboil fuel tripod I feel like I'm going to snap the thing 🤣 It's never broken on me thankfully, But I feel like it could happen every time I use it.
That’s not a bad little system you have. I do believe the Jetboil type has benefits time wise compared to traditional methods. And I’m sure you could remove that heat sleeve if absolutely necessary - I’ve never ran out of fuel in the wild & I always bring a spare can. And those little tripods are TOUGH. Not sure about FireMaple tripod yet. You should try one!
JetBoil does what is says, I have had one since they first came out. Bought the FireMaple as a back up but use it for day trips and fishing, the FireMaple has one advantage, apart from price. it can simmer for cooking etc.
Great video and products!
Thanks Tenda 👍🏼👍🏼😎

Nice, that Firemaple looks like a win!
Thanks S2L its looking really promising!
Looks pretty good!
I’m ready to see how well it can work out in the wild but so far I’m really impressed 👍🏼👍🏼😎
That Firemaple looks pretty good mate. We all know the Jetboil and good you've got so many years out of it.
Yeah the Jetboil has been good but it’s nice to see a competitor out there! Seems really well done 👏🏼

@@BushCampingTools Like I said in the video - every household should have a system like this because it’s just so efficient!
They both look good to me. All I have is a cheap folding stove that takes fuel pellets or wood.
Hey that’s something! Probably about time for an upgrade though my friend 👀😂 I will have the FireMaple review up in a few weeks!

I like Fire Maple is better than Jetboil because of the price.
Very affordable & I can’t really see much if any difference in quality so far!

Good to know - thanks!
you can simmer in the jet boil the same as you can in the firemaple. they have the exact same burner set ups, and both have a adjustable fuel valve.
@@orion7741 I would think so but there seems to be a debate on that.
Awesome product brother
Thanks Philly definitely seems so far like an excellent piece of kit 👌🏼😎
I have the fire maple x1
Still working good?!
