Henry the 8th didn't create the Church of England, that's a thing people are always told. There was already a move away from the Roman Catholic church and a few reformations way before Henry 8th. He used it as a way to jump on the bandwagon when he wanted a divorce and gave the English protestant church a boost to becoming more established. Sorry for the boring comment but I like to challenge this whenever it pops up 😅

It's my first time watching this channel, I live in South Wales but I've never been north. Huge commendation on a fab video, and Bear has made my week, he's so well behaved.

I'd love to visit Wales as my great grandad was born there and came to northern Ireland uk and got a job on the railways. Loving the history aspect of this explore Matt.😊 xx
It was Henry V who stayed there not the 8th and I don't think Henry 8th introduced the window tax - about 100 years after he died in around 1700.
Yep Matt just missed the V as he read King Henry. I came to say the same but always read down a bit to see if anyone else did. =)

This for your daughter, always be kind, always be gentle , never rush ,I was a dog groomer for over40 years,and by way she did a fantastic job on Bear and always be empathetic and if she did half as well as me she Will do well

Hi Matt , I know that you know the difference between V & Vlll but when you read about the king possibly having stayed at the Abbey it said actually that it was Henry V and not Vlll , I know you were quickly scanning the board and that’s why you didn’t read it properly so I thought I would just point it out- but what a lovely place 😍
