@ 1:25:16 It's a shaving mug. You put a slice of shaving soap on top where the holes are, run water over the slice of soap and the foam collects in the bowl. You'd also have a shaving brush to dip into the foam.
OMG! That is definitely the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house. I kept expecting Leatherface to appear at any moment! Can you imagine exploring that at night! BTW, that green glass you have mentioned a few times is Uranium Glass. Also it has to be said that Bear is not only the cutest, funniest and sweetest but the best behaved dog I have ever seen. You are SO lucky to have him. 😊😍🥰
I know you hate it when places get names, that being said, I had no idea it was that house b/c you did a magnificent job leading up to the freaky parts & you concentrated on the really good bits of history it had to offer! This is why I prefer watching your channel over others & support it! Of course Bear man too!
I get really sad seeing all those old pictures, cards and letters. I would probably break the law and take them away with me. What a shame. Thanks so much for caring about them.
The Whimsy book dates to around 1925. It was produced to encourage children to trace the pictures and then colour them in as neatly and accurately as they could.
I am so enjoying this so far! Where, oh where, is the family?? How can they leave all their family history to go to ruin like this? I could never be an explorer because I would turn thief and save items from destruction. The iron bed is beautiful and so are many of the other antique pieces in there. I don't understand how they could have had animals being butchered and meat hanging in the house. That is so weird.
Love going through the photos. It makes it more personal seeing the families that lived in the homes.

I’ve seen another explorers do this location, however where you go it’s up another level. I love the fact that you take the time to look carefully at the items left and try to work out the history behind the items. Nice work Matt.

This place does have a story, the owner that lived there got done for neglecting animals and was no longer allowed to keep them, meat and bone scattered around, this is one creepy place but one of my favourite explores, when I went here to explore it, I loved looking at the old black and white photos, I got greeted by a ball thank goodness it was only one of him, he was not happy that we was there lol, I love seeing Bear in your videos.

I just had the same urge, and was imagining what it would be like to bring cardboard boxes and rescue these treasures

I had to watch this twice to see everything properly. Didn't realise it was that house as other video I saw was so short.I love your videos as you see all little details.
I want to organize the photos and postcards and put them in a good container every time.
I know you get so excited when you see all the remarkable things, but please try to remember to show us the house too. It's fun to try to guess what the rooms are, i.e. the last room you were in...there looked like there was a huge fire place where you would cook. That stuff is interesting! Looking at kitchens is more about the history of how food is prepared. It was a very enjoyable video!! THANKS!
I used to work in the state archives here in Australia and I can't believe an historical society (a local one) or archives there in the UK can't get permission to rescue all this amazing stuff, esp the papers, letters, photos and books, not to mention some of the amazing pictures and china etc that could be so old, and very precious. Like you said many of these places will just collapse. Surely the local councils could find out who the owners or inheritors of these places could be contacted to ask if that stuff can be saved for historys' sake, it makes me want to cry.
Great video, Matt. What a treasure trove of history and memories. It saddens me to see how easily families let such precious memories disappear, allowing the past to be forgotten. Great job, Matt, for bringing their legacy to life if only for a small moment ❤

Another brilliant video Matt I really love that place. I love the fact you go through all the letters and read some and you show us all the photos other Explorers don’t do that it wouldn’t bother me if your video was two hours long I would still watch it and if there is that much to explore why don’t you do a part two and I love your diversity if that’s the right word, you can show us these sorts of buildings and amazing cities with lovely buildings and architecture whatever you do I will always follow you take no notice of the trolls. Don’t let it get to you. You keep on doing what you’re doing. You’re brilliant.
This place would make good for a haunted house attraction
I personally love seeing old photos and letters. It makes it much more personal. I know you say some people hate it. Could you maybe do a separate video with just showing all the photos, and then people can choose to watch them. Obviously only if you have time at the end, not when you are about to get caught!
I really wish I could, but you’ve got to remember each video. I’m usually in the property for about four hours.! so it’s not always possible

I think I am on my 3rd watch of this video. I can not get enough, and your energy and silliness make me feel so warm and toasty in my heart. Loved those piggies, too! The artwork and the FURNITURE, there were some absolutely insane pieces in there. What a shame! What a shame. You could build an entire lifetime of an entire family with all the hiatory in that house. Just amazing balls!

That place is very spooky and seeing all the bones and stuff reminds me of the ED Gein house in the states.I never watch any other peoples video's of the same thing what you do because, they do not take the time to look at everything and that puts me off from watching there video's. I get what you get with the appreciation of someone's life and the sadness that it is just lost. I hate that others have no respect for it.
The mum and dad died within weeks of each other and the son lost his mind … destroying stuff in the house and neglecting the animals, we was told he’s not allowed in the house or allowed to own animals so the sister who lives over seas now owns it but wants nothing to do with it

What an amazing explore Matt it's like the house of horrors. Loved the Queen Victoria and Albert photograph.My mum's maiden name was Farr.Sad that everything is left behind to rot and decay. The meat was gross hanging everywhere. The photos were cool , plenty to take in on this explore. 😊 xx

Yes seen others explore the place but your video is different and more detailed as you take the time to discover the history about the place.

Oh, Matt....this was a great explore!!! I loved every last bit of it! When I saw it was 1 hr 39 minutes I got so excited and thought....oh this is going to be good!! That pic of Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret was so good! The family pic and the dishes were priceless. Makes me sad though, thinking some family should come and get all these precious family heirlooms. Loved seeing Bear boy as usual! Great job Matt!

That book of the kings and queens was very interesting because some of them are in my genealogy in my great grandfather's line on my mother's side which has been traced back 65 generations. Very interesting.

I know this house now after seeing the rotten meat your explore is the best Matt with Sam and Jess a close second from 2020.
That's right! That's where I saw this place before, but Matt shows so much more, I don't feel like we are missing anything.
Id love to go these places sort the historical stuff into storage boxes to protect them. Then that way they may one day end up in the right places rather then destroyed. I have very few old photos of my ancestors but luckily some post on ancestory site. This make me sad that they just are left to rot.
