This is a great alternative to a heavy and expensive full metal rear bumper replacement. FEATURES
-Designed to mount up to a 35" tire. Height adjustable 1/4" steel tire mount.
-Auto latching hinge locator locks the arm in 3 open positions. The locator pin slides along a stainless steel plate with 3 hole positions. The locator pin can also be set to a free swing position. Keep your hands free and avoid the hassle of manually placing pins in the hinge.
-No extra brackets, mount your rotopax and license plate straight to the swing arm. Dirtcom's stainless drop down table will bolt right up too! Our Hi-Lift jack mount is on it's way.
-1,000 lb. rated latch to keep your gear secure.
-Stainless steel safety pin will keep the arm secured and rattle free even if the latch is accidentally opened.
-Anti wobble hitch mechanism keeps the tire swing from rattling in your vehicle tow hitch.
-Bottle opener is attached to the safety pin lanyard.
-Multiple mounting points. The vertical and horizontal 3/16" plates are laser cut with multiple holes to enable you to easily mount your own accessories with m14 and m12 nuts and bolts.
-Integrated License Plate Mount. Comes with an integrated license plate mount.
BUILD DETAIL
-1.5" .120 wall chromoly tubing for added strength and style. Chromoly has a higher strength to weight ratio than hot rolled and cold rolled steel tube. These parallel chromoly tubes are plated with 3/16" steel for added strength.
-2" Tow hitch receiver. Mounted up high for off road clearance using 1/4" steel.
-Dirtcom EPDM rubber pad will add extra strength and support. We located this directly under the tire to relieve stress on the hinge to withstand rough off road conditions. Strategically placed rubber stoppers are placed throughout to absorb vibration and keep your tire carrier rattle free.
-Tire mount. The tire is tilted to move the center of gravity over the hitch. Also it just looks better. The 1/4" steel used in the tire mount will ensure a strong, long lasting mount. Offered in multiple lug patterns. Contact us if you need a size that's not listed! - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Love the spring loaded cam lock twist lock plunger pin idea. I'm a mechanical engineer so I can appreciated all the R&D that went into this. And the price point your asking for this is fair if you compare all the features this has to the competition. Looks the best IMO and is practical and functional. Keep up the great work guys!

I'm looking for a hitch-mounted spare-tire carrier for my 2014 Xterra Pro-4X because all the spare carrier/full bumper placements out there don't seem to address what to do with the two backup sensors that are set on central portion of the stock bumper. Would this allow me to retain the location of those sensors? I would hope so
Nice work but I would have concerns over the load now on the hitch when towing a heavy camper trailer with the extra load and stress on the whole towbar assembly.
This may be what I've been looking for. I have a 2020 Toyota Sienna awd GTRV camper conversion. I want to switch out my RFs with AT tires and get a spare.
It will fit the Sienna with a 2" tow hitch. Should look awesome with the GTRV conversion! Can't wait to see it!
You should do one more hitch receiver tube welded on the swing, so you can throw a bike rack or ski rack or other stuff that can also swing out with it
I'll do you one better. We have a bolt on accessory hitch that will swing out bike racks. Bolts right to the Trail Swing with no modification!

It would be awesome to mirror this to a drivers side swing mount so it can swing opposite the new Bronco swing gate. I know the Bronco has it’s own tire mount, but it only holds a tire, when there are high lift jacks, gas cans, and other things to consider.

We're working out the best spot for the hi lift. It will fit under the tire as well but you'll have to offset it to the left to clear the latch. Vertical or angled is the other option. With all the holes in the plate someone can easily do a diy mount. We'll also offer an off the shelf bracket option.
Rigid is a awesome hitch but it is a lot heavier. Know several folks that have them but have to beef up the rear suspension to keep their rig level.

Where do I purchase?
Will this get in the way when I tow my boat? I have a 4th gen as well.
We haven't officially published tow ratings yet, however if you look at rigd (10,000 lbs) and wilco (7500 lbs), our tow hitch is reinforced even more than theirs with our extra gusset welded on. We are using .23" steel at the hitch. However, please keep in mind to never go over your vehicle's tow rating.

@@bokhao8906 I feel like there should be plenty of room. From the hatch to the furthest part of the tire (at the center) it is 20" and at the bottom (because of the tilt) it is closer to 25" This is with a 35x12.5x17 tire.

We never thought an FJ would need it since the spare is mounted on the hatch. I would recommend our driver side swing for an FJ.

Tailgate hits on the large bolt where the swivel is located!!! Will dent and scratch your tailgate!!

You'll have to measure from the center of your tow hitch up vertically to the rear tailgate when its open. Do you happen to know the measurement there? Also, what's the total width of the tailgate?

Hey thanks for watching! We've had 100 units welded up since this prototype. Check out the final version we made many improvements! What you are actually seeing is a direction change in the welding process and a bit of dirt trapped in that area from a few offroading trips.

@@DirtComplex I get it R&D is a little pricey, but for the everyday person 1200.00 for a spare tire carrier is not an easy purchase. Especially where your competitors are sometimes down around half. Just my two cents, I’m not an expert By any means and I can’t just buy what I want, I have to plan. I can just say I have other things that would get precedence over this.
