đ” COURSE DESCRIPTION đ”
In this course, youâll learn to play classical music in a way that faithfully recreates the original works. Classical pieces are often arranged and taught using a ukulele style of playing. While thereâs nothing wrong with this approach, it lacks the authenticity that comes from performing with classical guitar techniques.
This course teaches the fundamentals every classical guitarist uses. Youâll start by learning proper right-hand form before embarking on picking techniques.
Next, weâll move beyond playing techniques by studying stylistic approaches. Part of what makes classical music so appealing is the way itâs performed. Itâs a highly expressive style of music and weâll show you three ways to amplify emotion in your performances.
At the end of this course, youâll combine everything youâve learned to perform a challenging piece by Francisco TĂĄrrega (a.k.a. âthe father of classical guitarâ). - Hudba

I play mandolin . But I use a pick . But I don't do chords .
So I was wondering if I would work the same with classical uke
@@karenringer5995 The picking technique would be new for you as it's fingerpicked, as opposed to using a pick. Forming chords would also be new for you. Give it a shot, but just know it's a very different playing style from what you're used to.
YES!!!! very excited for this!
Yesyesyesyesyesyes... *Implodes* Can't wait to go through this! đ
First sounds more baroque, second more jazzy/romantiuc. I prefer the first.
could you share the name of the piece used in the demo? found it was Adelita by Tarrega â€I like the idea of the course :)
Hi Steve, yes that's it! It's the capstone performance piece taught in Module 4 in the course: rockclass101.com/classical-technique-and-style/
Great
Question .would have to learn chords first before starting a classical journey?
What do you mean by learn chords first? Do you mean, you are new to playing ukulele and haven't learned/played many chords before? If so, I'd recommend starting with our Beginner's Course: rockclass101.com/definitive-beginners-guide-ukulele/
If you meant learning the names of chords, how they are formed/relate to keys, and knowing them in multiple positions throughout the neck, then I'd say that info is great to know but not required for this course.
Who was the guy with the cap?
