That's the same way soldiers were recruited during WW2, they thought they would be getting a good experience, but they instead got an absolute nightmare.
The nostalgia of sitting in the hangar looking at your beige bf109g listening to this, relaxing. Those were some fun days. The days of UFO's!

Why did they remove the legacy music in 1.77? It just perplexes me. I loved to just sit in the hangar in the 1.12 days.

If it's not copyright issues, they probably opted to just be more original with their in-game music.
@@panzerace8251 some of my old videos are either demonetized (which I dont make any money from YT) or made invisible because of Copyright on some old songs. Examples are Beethoven's 7th symphony 2nd movement, Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus K.618. Both from 1813 and 1791 respectively
We all wish we could go back to those days... those younger days when we would sit down and boot up the old War Thunder. The main theme would come on and our excitement would grow as we gazed on the beautiful shapes of the Spitfire Mk 1 or the Bf 109. The lover of history and aviation was awakened as these songs would cascade into our ears and we would just sit there and look, and paint and re paint and search the tech tree, and then just stare again. Thank you for this music Rakashin, for allowing us to remember a time when we’d fly the skies care free, not a true worry in the world...
And wait 2 hours for a Full Real Battle, of which we would barely get off the ground, fly some bit, and get destroyed by a guy that has a full flight sim set up and TrackIR. All to do it again.

For me, every turned bad when Italy was added, suddenly plane was plagued by periodical op planes like the G55S. The new nations broke the balance and the game slowly lost his soul.
@@carottefondeurenfer I'll have to agree with that. I never thought about that actually, but it makes sense. All of the small nations have the good things because they were rarely built irl, or they were prototypes, or better yet, they're just cold war aircraft.

The original music was Composed by Edvard Grieg in 1875 for the Norwegian play 'Peer Gynt' and was indeed titled: 'The Death of Ase' Contained in Op. 23. That orchestration was 9:36 in duration. However, about 12 years later the composer extracted some of the music to make a new version in Op. 46 titled: 'Aase's Death' and is only 4:11 long. That is the version posted here.

Unfortunately the old days are never coming back. Even if Gaijin changed the game to be as it once was, we are older. Life is getting more complex and difficult. The joys of sitting down to play War Thunder won't be as they were, even if it is the same old version of the game we once enjoyed so much.

I don't remember my first kill as it was almost a decade ago, but I think it was a He-51A that I either Pilot sniped or Kamikaze'ed into.

You have no clue how much nostalgia this song gives me (The Warthunder Bathoveen song also does it too). This brings back memorys to my days in 2013/14. I remember installing Warthunder on my old laptop during the Fall. This song played when the camera went around my I-15. So much nostalgia.
I know how you feel man. I played this game from the very beginning. Beethoven's 7th, 2nd and Mozart's ave verum corpus and this hit me like a ton of bricks.

I miss this song from the game. It is really a piece of art that brings up old memories, when WarThunder was really the only game I would play every day on my intel HD graphics laptop. It is still one of my favorite game today, it's good to see, that it gets updated and worked on a lot even after all those years. But really, it needs masterpieces like this in it, I think this song specially was part of the game's character and it's disappointing to see it gone.

I would literally just listen to this glorious song back in the old days. I would look at my plane and around the hanger and just listen to it. Idk why but it made a comfortable

I remember when I started to play WT in early 2014 and was in the old hangar and used to hear this music. I was only 7 yers at that time and now in 2020 I’m 13 years old and still play WT and I’m never forgetting my first year in WT playing plane arcade at low tier and hearing this song play in the background.
I want to cry, I remember it all and I’ve seen this game grow from the MAUS and IS-4 being the top tier to now with Leopard 2A5 and t-80u bein top tier.

Listening to this makes me really sad. Back when I didn't care about the grind, things weren't overpriced, and people more frequently praised each other for the executions of kills. It always had a sombre mood to it, but I think that fits the game better than this stupid electronic stuff. The atmosphere just had something different about it. It was more immersive. There also wasn't as much pay-to-win in the game. It has lost its old feel, and I miss it.
Overall happiness was waaay higher than it is now. Newbies existed back then because as u said things weren’t overpriced n therefore everyone had fun playing the game and battles weren’t full of experienced players. That’s also the reason why there wasn’t as much salt as there is now. Farewell my friend
I feel there used to be alot more realistic games too. On some maps only the US would fight Japan, some would be Germany Vs Soviets, Germany VS USA France and British. Nowadays all battles are sort of mashed up together in random chosen maps. The historical factor was thrown away long ago for the sake of monetisation and to keep the game balanced due to the progression of cold war to modern vehicles and newer maps. Premiums were less emphasized to play the game normally. Gun sounds changed 837382728736 times too so the old sounds don't exist anymore sadly

I've been playing since 2013. Still around and kicking.
Taken a several year break around 2019 or something then came back on and off. As of last year I got back into the game again.
Finally fixed the monstrosity that was my borked Russian tree..
Made it to top tier Russia, got my Leo-2A6 I always wanted, and just working towards the Pantsir.
Oh! I just got my German Jets finally after all these years. Sat down and dedicated some on and off time to German air and I'm pleased. That and I got the F-86 for America too, another jet I never put the time in on getting. Very humbled I got to do many things I left unfinished as a kiddo.
British air is still a disaster in my research tree with all the shuffling..
But alas, feelings are a mixture with the current state of affairs. There are many things I like and dislike with modern War Thunder...

My renegade raider reminds me of birds of steel till this day I remember play when i was 12 back in 2016 almost every day for that summer time flys :( I remember sitting just waiting for the song then listening to this song now I play Fortnite 4-10 hrs a day every now and then I go back take a whole day to remember at least once a month
