Thanks for the video, it helped me a lot! I get very nervous whenever I have to travel somewhere and I don't really know the place and this little tour is immensely helpful - nice and clear shots of the shops, the ticket machines and the undergound terminals. I feel much better now
This railway was known as the Great Central Railway and went all the way up to Manchester and Sheffield but much was closed in the early 60's. Our first house in Rugby was a stone throw from this closed line, near where it crossed the WCML with a long box girder bridge and arches. The bridge having been disused since '69 was finally removed recently.
What a beautiful station so lovely to look at if only we could build with so much care and detail now.
If it's a station on the monopoly board I'd have expected it to be bigger.
