Watching the film again as an adult makes your attention change completely. As a kid it was Kat and Casper, now itâs James and Amelia.
This piece is so beautiful and so sad! It almost paints the picture of Casper, from alive, to dying, to his resurrection as a ghost.

I was 13 when Casper was released, I thought it was a stupid childrenâs film and never watched it again for 25 years. Iâm now 38 with two daughters aged 4 & 5, we all sit and watch Casper and I love it. I always cry when this music plays as Casper is rewarded for sacrificing his resurrection and Dr Harvey gets to say goodby to his wife. Such a heartbreaking beautiful piece of music â€ïžđą

all i can hear is casper explaining his death and hearing the "can i keep you?"
This gives me the warmth and comfort you only get as a child, that feeling of home and safety you only feel when you are young, like when you didnât understand sadness or death, but even though you didnât understand it you still knew deep down that someone who was sad needs something like tissues or a hug. You never understood why they were sad all you knew was that they needed something. And when someone died you didnât know what it meant even though you knew they were not coming back, you didnât know about heaven or hell or any of that, all you knew was that they were gone and not coming back. That is the feeling this gives me, its like home and safety but also innocence and hope, and that is a feeling i damn miss and this melody brings that feeling all back.
This reminds me of my childhood... Iâd pop the tape in the VCR and watch with my cousin
Itâs amazing that musical storytelling so haunting, deep, tragic, and beautiful like this can come out of something so innocent and simple like âCasper The Friendly Ghostâ.
Not only are you amazing at playing piano but the effects that you put into your videos are perfect! They add just a little character and help enhance the feeling of the song being played. Great work man!

This was my favorite movie growing up. Nobody ever gets my references. Now that Iâm an adult Iâve taught myself piano. Thatâs why Iâm here. Beautiful to see the past and the present come together in harmony.

3:10 till 3:15 is literally the best part of the song ( for me.) I listen to with earplugs and...đđ. Itâs also really sad. I always imagine kat seeing Casper come to live for the first time. And with the speed of .75 volume up a lot

I know I'm a few years late but I find when I'm having an anxiety attack, it's best to focus on a singular thing such as; taking deep breaths and counting between or listening to a specific song and letting the music just flow through you.
Everyone has their own way of dealing with anxiety, and it may be different for you than it is for others, but that doesn't mean that you're alone in how you feel. I hope your anxiety has lessened in the few years since you posted your comment and that you're living a lovely life with lovely people around you x
Some of the most beautiful piano music ever written. It speaks such deep, longing, and powerful emotion so eloquently and with such purity.
A movie based on a small childrenâs comic didnât have to go so hard with the music. But, Iâm thankful for it.
I remember listening to this music when the movie comes on it makes me want to cry...its just so beautiful especially hearing Casper's story......and knowing the dad still misses his beloved wife.....

I loved this movie so much growing up that I legally changed my last name to McFadden 10 years ago now in honor of the movie and Casper. Itâs always held a special place in my heart for many other reasons and the movie itself is quite deep if you look past itâs comedic value. This is the song I plan to have at my wedding when and if the day ever comes that I walk down the isle.
With the piano I was never taught and I donât know how to read music anymore, but somehow I always find the notes when trying to play a song and itâs like I can visualise the song. I would love to be able to play professionally like this!

I was 7 years old when I and my brother went to see casper with are grandparents at the cinema a happy core memories right there. A beautiful soulful movie that stands the test of time. But this peace of music just gets me to the core. Such a beautifully written peace of music..

I always felt bad for Casper as a kid. The one cartoon where he befriends Ferrdy the fox still makes me cry. The composer did a great job revoking that feeling through this piece.
Long read here but.....I had a dream I was back in high school it was so weird, I was walking around the hallways and reminding myself this used to be the teacher and so and so was in my class, I was walking down the hall and pass a class full of younger kids around the age of 6-10 and I notice a little girl give me the sweetest smile thru the window and offers me some popcorn... I smiled and continued walking... I freeze in my steps and tell myself I have to go back to her. Once I reach the classroom the teachers in the classroom are my aunt and mom... I looked at the teacher that was my aunt and I tell her, that's my daughter and she asks me what makes you say that... I said idk but I know deep down that little girl is my daughter.... I grab some of the popcorn she had offered me, but as soon as I grab it, the popcorn turns grey and turns into dust and the little girl just vanishes into the air... I started crying and this song started playing in the background, and my aunt who was the teacher says I'm sorry son I thought you knew this would happen... I told myself in the dream no this can't be happening please wake up, what made it even more realistic in the dream, I took out my phone and the alarm still had another 4 hours until 9am when it was supposed to go off which In real life is what I had set it to... I kept hitting myself in the head saying wake up please and I jumped out of bed to see my daughter sleeping next to me.... one of the saddest dreams I ever had and this song made it 10 times sadder
