One of my all time favourite films, fun throughout and a feel good ending. Difficult to buy on DVD in the UK, I had to get it from the Netherlands - also got the German version which doesn't have English language soundtrack. Chris Rea's songs work really well in it too. Thanks for uploading

Thank you, thank you, thank you for uploading this forgotten gem. You’ve made my day 🤗❤️ The opening credits are amazing when actor after actor are just rolled off so casually. For a Brit of middle age, then this is like seeing acting royalty all in one film. It’s a low budget affair so credit to the cast for getting behind it. A matinée movie with such dark undertones. This probably paved the way for Midsomer Murders. Soundtrack is great too.
I thought too, all they’re missing was peter cook and spike and they had everyone across 4 decades, down to gambit from new avengers as the copper!!
Love Chris Rea -no matter what he does!

Yes, it’s hilarious! I’d never watched it until recently. It’s a spoof type comedy and I think Chris Rea comes across as a naturally funny guy.

Truth to be told,that flick wasn't like the invention of the wheel.BUT...it has a character of its own.The actors delivered the goods,the whole movie was fun (in a dark way),and Chris was an absolute fun to watch.I still don't get why they call it "one of the worse films ever made".It's comedy,man...dark,maybe,but comedy.Besides,who doesn't thought,even once,to do the same as Harry???
Well, I completely love this film. I appreciate that it'll not be recommended for an Academy Award. However, it contains that wholesome, cheeky, predictable and 'comedic seaside postcard humour'. And, it's got Oliver Reed (What's not to like!). Thank you for the upload.

Oliver Reed should have nailed him in a blaze of glory. That would have made a much better ending.
I very much enjoyed this film, thought it was really good. Kingsley & Cleese were both hoots and the rest of the cast was super. I read that a bunch of people considered this one of the worst movies ever made. They must’ve lived sheltered lives.

amazing cast, but who thought Chris Rea. He s got a 'quality' and we love his husky singing voice, but this film. i like watching bad films especially when good actors are in them.

This movie had a great story line which was very poorly executed. Chris Rea's lack of any acting experience really does show. Rea was a brilliant musician having a lot of famous hits but he has been struggling with serious health issues since 1994 (Which was even before this movie was released). Thanks for posting.

Chris Rea??? I saw the poster pic, thought 'it looks like him - but it can't be.' But it is! That is the weirdest thing I've seen on here for many a day. And I'm afraid he's as wooden as musos turned actors nearly always are.

Did they just abruptly stop the music at 4:54 just then!?. Clearly so low budget they didn’t have the editing technology to fade it out as the next scene started, like any other film would do. That “shadow in my nose” running gag really did go on far too long.

I like the premise. Someone should make a comedy of this someday. The cast are all outstanding talents - totally wasted on this joyless mess. No one seems to be having good time. I'm sure the audience didn't either.
