The reason people don't know much about that country is the language barrier.
English speaking countries don't know much about French or Spanish or Portuguese speaking countries.
If Ivory Coast was english speaking it would be as popular as Nigeria

Your Ghana name was copied from the real Ghana empire in Mauritania by Nkrumah, what do you mean 60% of Ivorian are AKANS from Ghana , is Ghana a country with a single ethnic group, who formed Ghana formally gold coast... You Ghanaian love claiming others countries glory online ,now you claiming Ivory coast, are there not Ewe people almost all coastal areas in west Africa,why are you not claiming Togolese ewe as ghanaian,you are confused about nationality and ethnicity... All over west Africa, from francophone to anglophones speaking countries there are different ethnic groups tribes that was brought together for country formation.. the Ivorian you claiming has been in existence in their ancestral land before your gold coast was formed and later named ghana
