Shame a lot of that is broken. That was the ultimate set in my eyes growing up in the 90s. That blue and red grandstand is a thing of beauty.
Ain’t no thing but a chicken wing, gotta loads of spare that make it a complete set :-)
Very jealous mate that set looks great what a find 👍. The rare team looks like a repaint but who cares it’s still a lovely looking team. I put full teams in part sets I buy even if they aren’t the ones that are supposed to be in the box so the sets complete.
I initially thought it was repaint, but I've had a few other checked and looks an original hand paint lightweight. Love a box set like that as you never know what teams are coming

Great find. Recently just got a Hasbro team the soft flexible squad. The goalie is a little disappointing as if flexs so easy. N the production value of Hasbro is a little less. Waddingtons for the win? Where can I get an astropitch turf?

Forfar I posted a snap of mine on my Facebook Page a month or so ago.
Well another great video 👌🏻 I’ve checked my 1988-89 Grandstand edition looks like they’ve hand painted the ref 21 Real Madrid all white team Stew to ref 187 Forfar 1974-75 only. Kept going by Sliema Wanderers FC (Malta) 1975-80 (1986). Absolute cracking find 😀👍🏻, I think 🤔 Subbuteo Lab had one set up for sale and they had it down as extremely rare rating 5.
Thanks man, I don’t thinks that a repaint. The base for a an white side doesn’t normally have the blue bad and the bases look untouched. Pretty confident it’s a hand painted lightweight that’s been swapped in at some point in its history. It’s a lovely side to stumble upon :-)
Arrh!! 🤭🙄 stupid me didn’t pay attention to the fact it had a blue base was going on what was on the box 😣 starting to get as bad as you 😂 , I think it might have been a ref 654 Spurs 88-89 some sets did contain that team. Anyway still a 5 star find 🤩

Got this set from Beatties in 87/88. Absolutely loved it. Found your video tonight as was trying to work out 3rd team in it as about to sell it. Mine had Argentina and France but no white kit. Was another blue one, I think sampdoria maybe. So think they put white on box and give random team in it. Great video.
Just looked and the 3rd team I got was Ipswich 595
