  • My visit to the Museum of Transport, Greater Manchester in Cheetham Hill to the '200 Years of the Bus' event on Saturday 20th April 2024.
In 1824, Salford toll keeper John Greenwood started a horse bus service between Pendleton and Manchester, five years before anything similar happened in London. This event saw heritage buses running throughout the day between the museum and Salford Art Gallery retracing the original route 200 years ago. This first event celebrates the period 1824-1940.
Buses featured in this video are:
    1962 Daimler Fleetline
    1956 Leyland Titan PD2
