This song was initially created as a practice song for Miku by Kanami, for her to be able to play/practice some guitar techniques which was needed to perform the song Different. And then, this song was included as B-side for their single Different.
Nice, I was at this show. Met the band, before the show. It was Kanami's birthday. Three years later I was there again, this time it was Miku's birthday.
While "Don't Be Long" sounds a lot like thrash punk, it's a hell of a lot of fun for the audience. Kanami is an absolute beast when she shreds and MISA is the bad-assed bassist on the planet. Cool, cute as hell, occasionally smiles but gives the audience some face-melting bass riffs. These young women have so much fun on stage and the audience always notices it.
They actually have a fifth instrumental called "Go Nuts!" but have only played it live in Japan, and there is only one recording that I know of. Good luck finding it.
No worries 😉 I know who I am 😊 So much fun going along with you on your Band Maid journey! The next time they come to Dallas, you have to be there. 🤘🏽 Wait until you hear “From Now On” 😮
I got to see Band-Maid in Dallas at the House of Blues in 2022, they moved from this small stage to the bigger main stage and it was Miku's birthday, so much fun on top of awesome music!
