Because she's not a member of that committee. She has no special privilege that she should be allowed to participate any more than I do or anybody else watching this. Her job is somewhere else and she should go do that. By being there, she's saying that the people on that committee that are in her same party are not adequate to handle what they need to handle. So she has to come and step in and be a savior. That is not being very respectful to the democrats on that committee.

Where they allow other members of Congress to come in and speak to them about the issues that they are concerned about that committee will cover. That time is when other members can come in and address the committee. At any other time. I believe they either have to get an invitation from someone on the committee or get some kind of special permission from the chair. Because they Have complicated protocols for that kind of thing. It would have to be a very special circumstance. It would be a very rare occasion when a member of Congress could just request to speak to the committee and then get to do it. If it's a specific issue, then they have to be involved in it or have some other expertise that they might be called on. But just to come and voice their opinions. Is not proper protocol. Can you imagine how long they would take to get anything done if any member of Congress could come in and address a committee at any time? There are over 500 members of Congress.

It is a democracy because people govern themselves. It is representative because people choose elected officials by free and secret ballot. She tried to speak at the meeting but IS NOT EVEN ON THE COMMITTEE. That's why she was REMOVED. For disrupting the committee THAT SHE WASN'T EVEN ON. But yeah, it's because of racism...or something. 🙄🙄🙄

Seems to me as one who hasn't heard of Ms. Salazar prior to this that if she or her parents lived under Communism and suffered through Castro and his regime, it makes sense that someone like Lee - who swoons over governments like Castro's and the one in Venezuela would be counter-productive in this setting. It isn't clear from the video whether she serves on this subcomittee presently. She states that she has served. Another congress person seems to indicate that she currently serves. In either case, the chairperson has to bring order to the committee. If she will not maintain order, then she is obstructing official proceedings and should be arrested like the J6 rioters to face decades in prison.
