    Non-Malaysians please stop writing those racist "statements". We Malaysians we have different races, different cultures, different religions and WE LOVE EACH OTHER. Don't you dare talk bad about our non-muslims brothers and sisters. They eat porks and all but we the muslims are okay with it. If you hate our country for that reason, then that is your problem!

    Indonesia is 4th most populous country in the world and not all are well-educated.. (truth sorry but i must say)... its not a new thing seeing the comments from some indonesians.. claiming "thats is our country's cuisines etc blabla... malaysia is a cultures thief etc"... maybe they dont even know that Malaysia is a country not a person... malaysia is a country with diverse races... and yes! from Indonesia too... even mallaca was built by someone from palembang in sumatra... i wont write more... thats it... Greeting from East Malaysia (kota kinabalu)... FUNGBROS, come to KK City too soon ok? :))

      +Farah Aqilah Before the arrival of the first Sultan, Malacca was a fishing village inhabited by local Malays known as Orang Laut. Malacca was founded by Parameswara, also known as Iskandar Shah or Sri Majara, the last Raja of Temasek (present day Singapore) following a Majapahit attack in 1377. He found his way to Malacca around 1400 where he found a good port-it was accessible in all seasons and on the strategically located narrowest point of the Malacca Straits.[3]
      According to a popular legend, Parameswara was resting under a tree near a river during a hunt, when one of his dogs cornered a mouse deer. In self-defence, the mouse deer pushed the dog into the river. Impressed by the courage of the deer, and taking it as a propitious omen of the weak overcoming the powerful, Parameswara decided then and there to found an empire on that very spot. He named it 'Melaka' after the tree where he had just taken shelter at, the Melaka tree (Malay: Pokok Melaka).[4]
      Prominent Malaysian artist Syed Thajudeen visually depicted the epic tale of the founding of Malacca on canvas. The Beginning, a 4 panel painting measuring 183 x 512 cm is now a permanent collection at Galeri Petronas.
      In collaboration with allies from the sea-people (orang laut), the wandering proto-Malay privateers of the Straits, he established Malacca as an international port by compelling passing ships to call there, and establishing fair and reliable facilities for warehousing and trade.[3]

    These comments about Malays not being prioritize in Malaysia is really sad. I grew up with a Chinese dad AND a Malay mother. My mom was born & raised in Singapore, My dad is from Bangkok. Im a PROUD MALAYSIAN, i dont really say this out loud but, i grew up with both race, the chinese & the malay. I love love love how it is, i cant be racist to any one of it, dont forget abt INDIANS, my friends are 60% indians, i love them to bits, they're the most understanding people ive come across to. See, we Malaysian does not care if world tag us as A chinese/malay/indian country, cs we people here are united. We help our country together. Neither of these race wants to bring down Malaysia. So, Indonesia, not to sound rude, we love how our country is, we do not care if the Chinese is ahead of us, we know they're only helping to serve the country. Just because your country does not prioritize one another, doesnt mean we cant. One Malaysia for all Malaysians.

    There is wide variety of food origin in SEAsia, because of the migration and cultural exchange... I'm afraid if someday these commenters would claim tomyam is their authentic dish in Indonesia. They love to claim everything.
    p/s: i think they actually mean't to say "oh i thought cendol and rujak is available only in indonesia. they actually have it there too!" but it turns out to be "those are ours." idk. just thinking on the positive part of the comments.

    fyi, the locals don't usually go to Gurney drive hawker stalls for the best Penang foods unless they go to the malls beside
    anyway, enjoy your trip in Penang and Malaysia.

      +KL Rider You seriously lackof knowledge.Chicken rice originated from Malaya.The reason why is it called Hainanese Chicken Rice is because of the Hainan people that came to Malaya and made chicken rice.That is why chicken rice is so popular in Malaysia and Singapore but not in China.

    • @StealYourName
      @StealYourName Před 9 lety

      Where do you read that the Hainanese people came to Malaysia and made the chicken rice? Mind showing us the relevant sources? Thanks!

    • @StealYourName
      @StealYourName Před 9 lety

      Don't worry, i know my history lesson well. But here you are just assuming that the Hainan people created the chicken rice here because they arrive in Malaysia. Can't they have already come with with the dish recipe in their hometown in Hainan before bringing the recipe to Malaysia?

    • @StealYourName
      @StealYourName Před 9 lety

      And for your information, The Hainan chicken rice was originated from Hainan, China. But it was not called the Hainan chicken rice there like here in Malaysia and Singapore, but were commonly called the Wenchang chicken rice (文昌鸡饭).

Maybe you're the oblivious one bcos obviously you clearly don't know the meaning of multicultural society/country. Malaysia is a mix, MEANS with HISTORY we brought delicacies from our own background to Malaysia. This doesn't mean we bloody own/created them. Seriously, stop claiming that its ur dish, as if other country can't enjoy them as well with their own twist. You're just making urself sound like a loser.
