  • Grace Mugabe was a former first lady of Zimbabwe. In this video, we look at her rise from humble beginnings and her life as the first lady.
Her husband Robert Mugabe is a man that needs no introduction, but to understand his legacy and 37-year rule of Zimbabwe, we need to dive deep into Grace Mugabe. The life she lived as the first lady reflects to some extent who Robert Mugabe really was.

This should also be a lesson to African leaders. The hospital where Mugabe took his last breath could easily have been in Harare or other cities in Zimbabwe but he didn't bother. The money blown by Grace alone could have been enough to build at least two such hospitals.. Same as Mobutu, same as Buhari of Nigeria today who flies to London for a common earache. The list is shameful.

In 1997 the Zim dollar lost it's value by more than 70% & the stock market by more than 80% after Mugabe ordered the Zim reserve Bank to print out $5b US dollars for the war veterans.

It isn't just African leadership. It happens all over the world. As recently as 2020/2021 in the UK billions of pounds of taxpayer money for PPE was corruptly awarded to the companies of 'friends' and 'associates' of the conservative party including a company in which the then health minister, Matt Hancock's aide and alleged mistress' brother held a senior position. The money was largely squandered as the PPE equipment was either never produced, was produced too late or was not fit for purpose and had to discarded. Whilst he was P.M. Boris Johnson was investigated over the improper use of government funds in the renovation of No.10 when he and his former mistress moved in. Conservative MPs have misused thousands of pounds of taxpayers money on things like a 'duck house', employing their own spouses etc etc. Not to mention all the cash for questions scandals over the decades. This doesn't excuse corruption in Africa, but it should make it pretty clear that politicians worldwide are largely of the same self-serving ilk.

My take in all these is Grace took advantage of Mugabe's old age.She forgot that it was the current president who kept Mugabe in power all these years. They had an oath/covenant. Grace was never going to be any president. She taught she was smart and they out smart her. She caused a lot of problems for Mugabe now that Mugabe is gone she has to live with her so called enemies.Thank you for sharing. I pray and hope this video gives you over a million views. Has always happened. Names, locations, ethnicities change but many people around the world have essentially done the same for centuries. Some countries cover it up better, make it look more "civilized", but it's the same thing underneath. Poverty and deprivation often keeps the scope of evil low but no less evil. Give them power and wealth and there's no limit to how low humans can go. The only right government is God's government.
