Some ZANLA cadres fell victims of the ZIPRA cadres and vice versa. The system was simply supposed to give a platform for closure at a very early stage through a commission of enquiry which would deal with direct evidence from witnesses, victims and the alleged perpetrators. Those who were supposed to be convicted and penalised accordingly should not die before facing their sentences. Victims also need to be compensated during their life time. Now how do you make Gushungo and/or uMdlalawethu accountable in their graves? Most victims and perpetrators are dying through passage of time.

In Ndabaningi Sithole's word, "We (ZANU) have decided to use the language Mr. Smith understands." The 'language' referred to fighting with guns because that is what the Smith army was using. Hence sending ZANU cadres for training in Egypty China initially. For sure, like you say, none of the three ZANLA, Rhodesia Front and ZIPRA won the war outrightly. All three gradually became fatigued by the constant killing of each other. All three sides admitted by saying taneta nekuurayana.

The delays in dealing with the Gukurahundi victims and inquest and possible compensation is going to cause irreparable harm to the nation at large. Most witnesses are now dead and the few remaining are now getting too old and may soon die. The economic situation is also causing some to flee the country. This is not good at all.

Some ZANLA cadres fell victims of the ZIPRA cadres and vice versa. The system was simply supposed to give a platform for closure at a very early stage through a commission of enquiry which would deal with direct evidence from witnesses, victims and the alleged perpetrators. Those who were supposed to be convicted and penalised accordingly should not die before facing their sentences. Victims also need to be compensated during their life time. Now how do you make Gushungo and/or uMdlalawethu accountable in their graves? Most victims and perpetrators are dying through passage of time.
