Mount Kinabalu Climbing Guide - The Danger Zone

Mount Kinabalu is a non-technical mountain which requires no special climbing skills. As long as you can climb a flight of stairs, you can climb Mount Kinabalu.
From the first part of the climb (Timpohon/Mesilau to Laban Rata) is made of steps.
Second part of the climb (Laban Rata to Summit) is steps and granite slopes.
The danger zone is located at 6.7 KM. Usually accidents happen at this part but if you adhere to your mountain guide instructions, hold your ropes and keep vigiliant, everyone should be able to get through it easily and safely.
