after i wrote my response down below (and subscribed) i went to your website and saw your video on mental health. i'm speechless. how can you open yourself up like that? you let down EVERY barrier and let EVERYONE see the real you. i could NEVER do that! NEVER! you are an AMAZING person. the things you have dealt with at your age already. i read where great comedy comes from personal life pain. i wondered about that. maybe, it is true. start reading my letter down below at "you aren't that different from tina and amy". forget the first part. you have already learned those life lessons in spades. there is nothing i can suggest to you that you don't already know. i wonder how many people you helped save with that mental health video??? who are you, Justine Stafford? were you sent to earth to save people? you touch and help more people in an hour than most of us do in our lives! i hope in another life, i get to meet you. i suspect you have many pearls of wisdom that you distribute daily without knowing it. the people who know you in your personal life have been given a gift! i hope they know that and appreciate it.

    Hey, Justine.
Put your passion into your free time. You don’t have to invest in film stock like Kevin Smith did. But you can make a documentary of something you hold special in Ireland.
Also, write and produce some of your skits. You’ve an amazing sense of humor, and a skewed perspective that combines into something very special.
    You’re loved.

I'm sorry for the loss of your old videos Justine. People are leaving California in droves, myself included. Unless you're successful in the entertainment industry it's hard to make ends meet. What if, getting existential. Yes, that's rough, it's something one has to try to let go. Your personality is very engaging Justine. Keep at it! I deal with anxiety and depression myself rough shit. Your Try channel people are all awesome, and I love the bond that you all have it's cool! I really think you'd make it in Southern CA (LA) or NY. If that's where you want to be. I just wanted to be honest about how tough it is out there sometimes. Oh, see now I have to see the film you made if I can find it. It sounds great! That's it. Don't give up! Keep at it! Well done Justine!

You don't need to fear the unknown. We all suffer from the "imposter syndrome". Only a few of us manage to get outside of our comfort zone and taste life. Follow your dreams with full heart. You only live once, and you should try to "follow the road less taken".
Think of you life as 3 circles, the inner one are issues that you can control 100%, the medium circle are issues that you don't have full control but you know someone close that you can seek their help to solve the issue. The outside circle is filled with issues you can not control nor anyone else in you vicinity can assist with. You will see that the majority of issues are basically in the outer circle. Those are the ones that you should not worry about at all. Keep going strong Justine, its great experience to follow you to us as well, and in another lifetime, it would be great to be your RL friend. Hope you keep following your dreams soon, once the world opens back again.

It is a pleasure to meet you again and again.
By that,I mean, every time you post a video,I get to meet Justine.
    And it is a pleasure!
You mentioned in a previous video, the book by BJ Novak.
Now bear with me,because I also get tortured by self doubt, and I am an artist, but it constantly thrills in kicking me in the balls.
But,I read that book, and his writing was very similar to mine, strangely funny short stories.Except for ‘Sophie’,which broke my heart, and is the reason for the title of the book,Just one More Thing.
So I started writing again, thanks to you mentioning that book!
I would love to share my stories with you,but I don’t know how.
    Holy shit
You won’t believe what just happened!!
A couple of houses down, a party is going on.
They were all laughing and getting drunk and other things, presumably, and just now, like 30 seconds ago, they all started screaming!!!
Well the women were, but the guys were all “BRO! BRO! PUT IT DOWN BRO!PUT THE GUN DOWN,PUT IT DOWN!!!!”
    Jesus. That just happened.
No shots fired,so I guess his “bros” talked him off that ledge.
Oy, I gotta go,but know this, you are remarkable,I admire your talent so very much!

I was born in Florida and moved to California when I was 9 months old. My father was in the US Air Force, so we moved quite a bit. When I was 3-4 I lived in Ireland, my mum was from Dalkey, then moved back to California. In 1966 we moved to High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England until late 1969. Then moved back to California, at 17 I went into the Air Force and lived in Central West Germany from 1977 to 1980. I have also lived in Texas, Missouri, Iowa, Nevada, and New York. I have traveled to China (6 times), Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Korea, Japan, and Egypt. I now live in California and am retired, so of all the places I have lived, I love California.

Teacher here. The curriculum never needs to be exactly the same. Even if, in Ireland, there is a National Curriculum. Curricula change as they are revised over time. Also, there is frequently freedom as to how teachers can help students learn ideas. My National and State Standards have changed three times over my career. My class has been different every year. There are always ways to push creativity and change in the classroom! No matter the State of the world, learning is always a mutualism. One of the first things teachers need to learn (and many don't) is that they don't know everything, they shouldn't act like they know everything, and they need to be open to learn just as much from their students. Learning never ends. For anyone. You can get a degree and the degree is just the beginning. You can enter a trade from a trade school and that is just the beginning. The best people continue to learn.

haha, that look when you mentioned using Windows Movie Maker... I know that feeling! My niece at age 7 refused to go on any rollercoasters... we convinced her to go on Atlantis at SeaWorld when it was fairly new... there's a part where the car goes into a dark room and then up an elevator and it broke down while we were in the dark elevator. Pitch black. And not level. She hasn't been on a rollercoaster since. I'm not big on the sports either, but I think it's hilarious hearing you say that considering what you're wearing.

hi, Justine. nice to meet you. please read this. i know it is wordy and long. you laid yourself open with this. it takes courage to let people get that close to you. first off, EVERYBODY has those same questions and doubts. you learn as you go along. you gain experience and knowledge. i will be 65 years old in two weeks. i still have questions, doubts and wonder about what-ifs that have happened in my life. but, i'm far more comfortable with these because i know i did make mistakes, sometimes i chose a wrong path and i will NEVER have the answers to some things. you come to a fork in the road in life, you analyze what you think is on each path and you choose one. you hope you made a good choice and down the path you go. if you have a conscience and a heart (you do) most times it will work out. occasionally not. part of the game of life. the less difficulty you cause in the world, the less difficulty will come into your life. karma. you aren't that different from Tina and Amy. their medium is TV. your's is the internet, right now. Justine, i have seen you on the try channel. you have touched MILLIONS of people all over the world! you have made us smile and laugh. you have made us forget our troubles in the time we are watching you. MY GOD! what a wonderful thing to be able to do! no one can EVER diminish that in any way. BE PROUD of who you are and what you have done, so far. sometimes, it may not seem like a lot to you. IT IS! to bring that much pleasure to people's lives?? i can only say WOW... and thank you. be well.

I'll just start off with it's been too long since your last release, nuff said. I really enjoy you being you so I liked this. Justine Stafford is a performer and any good performer, which you are, can play or portray elements of themselves or others. Just Justine is a thoughtful person who isn't always articulate, but what she says is heartfelt with an undercurrent humour. Every life is made up of diverse elements of aptitude, training, desire, and the one you can't control chance. If this was a hard cover book of Justine it's got a great dust jacket that makes me want to crack open that book. Some of your video's are full chapters of that book and are heartfelt and intense, some just interesting and fun. This was like a review of that book sometimes profound, sometimes just skimming the surface, hinting at chapters I've yet to read, and maybe you've yet to write. Either way it succeeded in making me want to read that book cause it's subject is fascinating. Thanks for this get to know you chat. I look forward your next instalment.

Just my 2cents, California is a better place to visit then live. The pollution, politics, the rules and regulations, the cost of living, and the ungodly taxes, these are some of the reasons it is not the best place in the US to live. Just wanted to let you know. American is great place to live if you pick the right state for you. Love your videos

Hawaii, California, New York and Massachusetts are the most expensive states to live in. Unless you plan on coach surfing with friends and not paying rent.. Then surfs up.

Every state has great areas to live and awful areas to live. California is a true case study in how not to run a state. It's a great place to move if you want to live in a garbage bag under an overpass and steal from stores and tourists to maintain that nasty drug habit. No bathrooms? No problem. California may be the most beautiful, diverse land mass in America. Fertile land to desert landscapes. You couldn't pay me to live in Long Beach, Frisco, LA, Oakland.......................................

As a 4th generation Californian I am liking the fact that people are leaving here "in droves". I usually won't encourage people to move here (it is crowded, traffic is insane, and housing is pricey) but you would be most welcome. And for better or worse the entertainment industry is centered out here (and New York, but our weather is better) if you wanted to pursue a career in it, which I know you do, and should. Peace.

Really sad about the lost memories. As an American who has spent a lot of time in New Zealand, I'd personally prefer the latter. Say hi to Lolsy if you do go, we all miss seeing her on the Try Channel Truly enjoyed the video. I find it amazing how you can put yourself out there on youtube and doing comedy and all while still having self-doubt and anxiety. I mean anxiety for me is like stage fright on steroids. More power to you!

I hate roller coasters, too. I talked myself into going on a very small, modest one, but I still hated it. The only thing to hold onto was a tiny pair of handlebars that sat low in front of me. So when the picture came back, it looked like I was choking my chicken with all my might using both hands. 😆

Hello from Texas, Justine -- Love your entertainment, even the short goofy ones. LOL -- I've a request, or suggestion, or what-have-ya. Can I have suggestions or requests? Is that alright, or okay - is that allowed? LMAO -- Anyhow, I think that you should do a live feed, that way followers could interact and sorta meet ya. Get Q&A live, etc...

Justine, you have decided to quit your day job and make it on your own. That's GREAT! But it takes discipline. That means making videos on a regular schedule. We're here to support you, but YOU have to get your act together. Take a day and write down your goals. Then make a plan that includes a regular schedule for videotaping and release. It's your life, but trust me -- you will never get anywhere unless you have a set of written goals and written plans to achieve those goals.

    • @CCoburn3
      @CCoburn3 Před 3 lety

There is a guy named Brian Tracy. He has written a number of books. Among the books of his that you should read are "Goals," "Eat That Frog," and "Kiss that Frog.." You should read them in that order, and put them into practice. I wish I had had those books at your age.

Note to self: Sneaking around at work watching a 41 minute video doesn't really work. Haha. I'll have to wait until I'm home to watch the rest, but nice to see you putting something up. You should take all those short videos you've been putting up other places and make one big collage of short cut videos. Still laughing at "pulling pork" by the way.
