Thanks for this video...i just bought this Aphogee treatment. I went fully natural in 2020 and just did a big chop as my hair has been breaking and shedding and breaking badly (may be menopause...TMI lol). I've been afraid of protein treatments and honestly never really did them, as my hair never felt right after. However, as I'm starting over I want to try incorporating consistent protein treatments.

If your hair was breaking in 2020 it might have been due to the stress of the pandemic . I wasn't even thinking about that at the time

I purchase aphogee protein treatment in the packages and took it back because when I read the instructions it sounded so complicated like I needed a hooded dryer and all this kind of stuff. Seems as though all you had to do was put yours on for 2 minutes and rinse it out. I use that shea moisture as a clarifying shampoo, is that what it does for you?

Yes the pack is complicated that is why I got the 2 mins one. Yes I use that shampoo

Do you recommend double cleansing when washing your hair?

I don't know what Sola does but whenever I use that same moisture shampoo it feels dry so I have to follow up with a moisturizing shampoo and that is the only time that I shampoo twice. My moisturizing shampoo is smooth as silk buy Giovanni. Does don't know if there's protein in it but it certainly does soften some after

It all depends on how dirty your hair is. If I use a lot of gels, I always double clean.

I tried washing my hair in braids like that but for some reason they unravel on me a lot. What I do is just detangle and smooth my hair while is scrub my scalp. I have to pull my hair to do this.
