Hey there! I love this video, and you are so right! So, my mom is older and she's disabled, which means I have to do her hair a lot. On wash day, I noticed that her hair always looks longer than before. She loves looking in the mirror to see how long it's gotten and it makes her feel beautiful and amazing when her hair is down. She always tells me, "Brittany, you made me look like a movie star!" After she's done admiring her new growth, I wash and oil her hair and then move on to the next protective style.❤

@@a.sydney5036are hair is different than most, breakage can happen easily and believe it or not. It is what it is. My hair finally bra strap because I figured out leaving it alone was the key. Not sure why it took 10 years, mine was bra length after 2 years, it’s now about 24 inches or longer haven’t checked in awhile. But the point is you get 6 inches per year. Your ends are the oldest part of your hair and need the most protection. What happens is hair will grow to a certain length and then breakage occurs. If you are constantly styling with heat , washing combing dying processing it’s so much opportunity for damage to occur. After I achieved the length I wanted I started wearing my own hair out but not all the time. Bc of what I mentioned above. After it’s grown out it’s really up to you to maintain its length if you want to keep your hair long and healthy, protective styles are key. Other types of woman have naturally oily lunricated scalps that produce hair growth. That is the reason they have to wash there hair all the time bc it becomes greasy. We don’t , we have to apply oils to our hair. Dry hair breaks off. Now if you think about what I just said it makes sense why they are able to grow long hair effortlessly, not all but some. So our hair is much more high maintenance and it’s strong. It can endure a lot of heat and braids but that puts a lot of stress on the hair and it’s not good all the time. It's so true , i did tiny braids for 6 months because i'm really busy with my studies and they grew so much i was really stunned , but i did take care of them and i kept my haircare routine So guys give them the peace they want while taking care of them 😊
This is absolute Truth!! I operate the same Way and my hair continues to gtow and is thick and healthy!!! I have been relaxer free for about 4 years!!🎉🎉🎉😊
Truth after I had my second baby and started a business. I didn't have time and left my hair in two braids and wore hats to go outside. I looked up and my hair was past BSL. All I had to do was moisturize every 3 weeks shampoo deep condition cream seal with oil and it grows even through the postpartum shedding.
I know quite a few ppl that say the same about letting their hair stay a mess like this for periods of time makes it grow. It’s crazy and funny how certain things promote hair growth for different ppl. Unfortunately, I can’t do this! If I just let my hair go like this it just gets brittle and breaks off…even while using different oils and etc. I’ve noticed that keeping mine oiled, washed, and in a better “kempt” state grows mine…and quickly! Either/or, I love this video🤎‼️
She ain’t lying, once I stopped relaxing my hair and decided to loc, my hair has grown almost to my knees now, and I’m 5’4”. I know many people with locs, who can’t grow their hair past their ears, but mine seems to just keep growing from minimal manipulation. I definitely maintain it, but only go to the salon about every 8 weeks.
Did you hear at the end, she's been growing her hair like that for 10 years. Not 6 months or 3 months. There are a lot of CZcamsrs that claim you can grow your hair fast and in doing that they also promoting their own hair products, but realistically they're not telling you how long it took them to grow their hair long. That's the real secret!
Her hair isn’t that long for 10 yews of growth. I went from a bob to bra strap length in 2 years just taking care of my hair. My hair would be a matted mess doing this method.
Don't believe the hype. Your hair will be matted and you may have to cut it out. The advice of a person who has been in the hair industry more than 30 years. My advice to hair growth... good shampoo and conditioner, comb your hair regularly, hydrate the scalp and shaft.

@@IruloMirabel yes. You have to be dedicated when it comes to black hair; relaxed hair takes a lot to maintain.
Preach sistah. Yes. I've been telling women this for years. To leave their hair alone. Wash braid braid. You can wsh. I rebraid every 3 month. Strong hair.
This is so true! I get the most growth by oiling it with wild growth oil and wearing braids for a few months at a time.
FACTS SIS. THATS why I am like, I can’t start a hair CZcams channel bc I👏🏾👏🏾my👏🏾hair👏🏾ALONE! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️. You are speaking the truth girl!!!
And my mother told me the elders would say the dirt grows it too when you don’t wash it as much. Anywho I did the same to my hair (nappy a$$ braids lol) and my hair grew inchesssss. Maybe 2-3 times a year I would use rice water too. Yes, I am a witness that rice water grows your hair an inch overnight and makes your hair JET black
Thanks love. You’re encouraging me rn to not only do this true protective measure but also lose weight. You look fabulous ❤❤
Aww thank you.

Sooooooo trueee.... I keep my hair braided, oil it every day or every 2 days, I do wash my braids if I have them for 4 weeks, I'll wash them at 3 weeks and get the perimeter touched up and wear them and extra 3 weeks take em down an get a new set. Deep condition, hot oil treatments, protein treatments and hair masks in between fresh sets. Depends on what's needed, and back up they go 😂😂😂 oh and a trim. Trim thise dead ends ladies

Facts!!!
Very patriarchal…
Yes ma’am.
This is so true!! I spend 5 months with my breads and my hair grow as a crazy!
Twisties as well! But make sure you moisturize the ends of your hair
That's why people with locs, hair grows so fast. 👏
Hair grows anyway. That’s how they’re able to retain length because their hair is left alone.
Yeah.....
@@CCierra I agree 👏💯
Wow... this is EXACTLY what works for me too! My braids look just like yours under my wigs and my hair is the looongest it's ever been in my entire life. It's approaching my behind at this point plus it's about 1 1/2 to 2x times thicker which is also exciting! I will continue with this method and continue to wash, deep condition and moisturize in my braids and twists... God bless you sis! 🤍😇🤍
The background music 😂😂😂😂
This is so true. I wore wigs for a year and kept my hair in braids and I’ve never seen so much hair growth. Listen ladies and gents! She’s telling the truth!! ❤
Theses are facts, just leave your hair alone for a while , wash and condition and watch it grow❤
I wish I could do that but I can’t.
My hygiene won’t allow it. And I can’t look like that with a wig off. 😩
Ok😂😂😂
She did say she wash and condition her hair while it in braids.
My problem would be wearing a wig in summer.
She washes it...just don't take out her braids.
Exactly

Or Spring, Fall or Winter. 😅
Yup this is how mine grows. It don’t wanna be touched daily😮
I second, third & fourth this motion! I live & die by this! Thanks for sharing!
Yup that's the truth less touching more growth. ❤❤❤❤❤
If I did that mine would pack up and leave 😂😂
😂
😂
Lol

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's so true , i did tiny braids for 6 months because i'm really busy with my studies and they grew so much i was really stunned , but i did take care of them and i kept my haircare routine
So guys give them the peace they want while taking care of them 😊
This is why love grow
So long. The hair is left alone
This is absolute Truth!! I operate the same Way and my hair continues to gtow and is thick and healthy!!! I have been relaxer free for about 4 years!!🎉🎉🎉😊
Ok but what song is this 💀 I need to know
It’s from tiktok lol
@@sapphiredelightlmao baby we need the link😂
This is how my hair look too.old ass braids but my hair grows like crazy
Finally. Some realistic and truthful hair growth tip. Thank you.
My hair is SO soft if I left it alone for 3 months it would tangle and break off
This is absolutely true ive done it and it works!
Watching this video a trillion times just for the background song antics.. You better saaaaannnng!!😂 😂
I have 6weeks old hair looking like yours lol
She ain’t lying, once I stopped relaxing my hair and decided to loc, my hair has grown almost to my knees now, and I’m 5’4”. I know many people with locs, who can’t grow their hair past their ears, but mine seems to just keep growing from minimal manipulation. I definitely maintain it, but only go to the salon about every 8 weeks.
So very true...just leave it alone 😊
Same. When its lookin crazy, its got crazy growth 💀
I am sure she cut it before because otherwise for 10 years it's pretty short
Her hair isn’t that long for 10 yews of growth. I went from a bob to bra strap length in 2 years just taking care of my hair. My hair would be a matted mess doing this method.
Does the fenugreek oil make you smell like maple syrup?
No not the one that I make.
Y'all she's right. I have some now too. But I were wigs 💕
Sis is speaking the truth. I have been growing my hair this way for years. ❤❤❤
Don't believe the hype. Your hair will be matted and you may have to cut it out.
The advice of a person who has been in the hair industry more than 30 years. My advice to hair growth... good shampoo and conditioner, comb your hair regularly, hydrate the scalp and shaft.
The background woman singing is DIABOLICAL 😂
My head look just like this 😂😂😂 I felt crazy for a minute, but I’m going to do this often ❤❤❤
So true. First time anybody on the internet has spoken the truth.
Also being CONSISTENT with your hair care routine is KEY 💯
