The best selling car in Britain by quite some margin is the Ford Fiesta, and that's by no means a recent trend. The Fiesta has been hugely popular in the UK for decades, even though there are plenty of excellent alternatives, such as the Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20, that come in at a similar price point.
So what makes the Fiesta so popular? We're behind the wheel of the ST-Line X Edition, which gets the same looks as the ST hot hatch at a cheaper price. That being said, our model costs over £22,000, with entry-level cars costing north of £16,600.
And, in the name of transparency, this was filmed towards the end of 2020 and the Fiesta range has since received an engine update. While our 1.5-litre model is no longer available, the trim level still is. What's more, the rest of the car is identical to that of the newer models.

I’ve had access the ST-Line X 140bhp variant and what an absolute hoot to blast down a b-road in! Great little warm hatch.

It looks better and it’s more reliable than a Polo….there’s two reasons.

only one standard 1.0 100 hp manual gearbox since 5 years.
165.000 km and only great great driving pleasure: engine punchy and really frugal, steering and front axle very dynamic... The ideal car for country ou mountains roads.
And so sexy with 3 door and panoramic roof.
    Great car .

I have the same ST Line and the color is "Red Pepper Matallic." I've added Eiback lowering springs, K&N drop in filter, and a chip that plugs into computer port. It has 5 speed manual transmission and hope to do more upgrades in the future. Fun to drive and love my 2019 Fiesta ST Line!

    Very simple.
It has a more fun factor. Better exhaust sound. More feeling and sharper steering. Lighter and cheaper. Road tax is cheaper and the car has more miles to the gallon.
And I wanted something different than another Volkswagon.
And I'm very happy with my Fiesta St with 260bh.
And I almost forgot! Front windshield heating! I never want a car without one!

I have one of the last ST-line Mild hybrid Vignale 155PS Fiestas in special grey. Having driven the Polo and the ST, I would rather have this any day of the week. It is a classic

iPhones are technically the most 'powerful' phones on the market. They destroy any rivals in CPU benchmarks.

At 2.15 you say its a 1.5 3cyll ST engine, Not possible. The ST line does not have anything bigger than the 1.0 engine in petrol form....and never had a 1.5 petrol ST engine. I think you might be confusing it with a 1.5 diesel

  • @HJE1974

Yeah, same as my st-line (2020) 125 hp :-) Its just a wonderful car build in cologne :-) ...as i heard, ford will build the fiesta in cologne from 2023 just as an e-car.... :-(

    • @HJE1974

@@_noaim_8102 to me, its a perfect car so far for the money :-) My college bought a 155hp mid hybrid because she knows and drove my fiesta :-) Its some kind of "rennsemmel" we say in germany (latest drive on the Autobahn was 205km/h, that was really a bit scarry somehow.... in my old SLK i felt a little bit safety for that :-)", even, you can drive it very very at a low level around 5,3 liter/100kmh (my 125HP St-Line). - so, give it a try, make a test-drive, see all the functions your car would have (to me, i have everything: when i bought it, i would never think of seat-heating nor steering-wheel heating... but i needed it this year :-) ) - speaking of driving: the st-line "grabs" into curves at high speed - you have to test that also out :-) Yesterday i first had a real tcs break on the right side because it was raining - that was great! I thought i drove over a stone :-) You can switch tcs always off in the middle-console, even switch between the 3 mode the Fiesta will drive. Sport is really great, thats the fun-mode :-) Eco is challenging me (done 4,9L), normal is - yeah, "normal" :-) " - i wouldnt buy a Polo, because its a bit smaller than a fiesta, even, its not that great as a fiesta (both german cars!!!! :-) )" as i said - make a test-drive and you will see what i mean :-)

That's a great question. I love my ST150 and it's a huge shame I'm unable to drive it as much as I'd like due to the lockdown. This is certainly a giant leap over my car, and I'd love to try a full-fat ST. It's the best 'normal' hatchback I've driven, but nothing beats an older car for that analogue feel - Cam

@@HJE1974 st line x's have bigger wheels and the b+o 10 speaker system. Also some other things like electric folding mirrors and different seats.
I drove a 140bhp st line x yesterday and found the ride to be a bit too firm. I'm going to try a st line next which have 17" wheels and apparently ride a little less firmly. I'm keen on the 1.0 155bhp mhev. Which is not a full hybrid system, just electric assist. 50mpg and 8.6 seconds to 60mph which is more than acceptable in my opinion.

@@mikeh2006 My co-workerin bought the same as as mine, but as an mid-hybrid, like yours, she is really comfortable with that one, too :-) - its not a race-car, as i said, but it can make fun if you want, or, you keep on the eco-mode and drive it really like this... for example: at 70km/h (sry, dont know how this is in mph) the fiesta wants the 6th gear - really rumbling, but hey: this is what you get! to me, the Fiesta is the best choice i've ever made... unfortnally - i only got 5,3 liters at lowest scince i drive this car... normally iam at 5,5 Liters in normal Mode - People in Germany are struggeling about the 3liter car scince years, and this comes now up in german magazines... i think, of course there is a way to make an 3l engine, maybe with less fun, but it can be happen if Ford really wants to, iam sure :-)

Because the Polo feels heavy and staid and boring. By contrast, the Fiesta ST-line is a great drive, and I'm not exactly a fan of Ford.
