They have an exit plan.. personally, I wouldn't want to live in the USA and pay for my own healthcare, deal with Christian nationalism, experience the highest gun violence, the most incarceration population of the world, or chance me partner with flaky abortion rules, but that's just me. With certain job opportunities, plus community of friends and colleagues if Love arrives, I can sort of understand why the idea might be compelling.. with the choice of returning home always available.

As a PA resident who works with ONLY hard core conservatives, id say OZ got those votes just by existing. My coworkers knew he wasn't shit but they didn't want Fetterman "ruining the state" in ways they couldn't come up with when I asked for specifics

After watching this podcast I love the acknowledgment from Ethan, hating to be fat is such a great step for someone who has to hold their breath when tying their own shoes. It’s sad, it’s disgusting, it’s such a poor outcome to stand by, and after reading the comments it amazes me how you can support someone who creates their own echo chamber of hate. If you’re a roaster then roast there’s no problem but when your overweight, jealous, and hateful. Looking after people in hospital I've come across many ladies that have chosen to have a double mastectomy due to cancer. Never seen a trans person who has had this surgery
The only statistics I found said more MEN were getting what’s considered a mastectomy for gynecomastia treatment (treatment for man boobs) than trans masculine men. Also, the study stated a greater percentage of mastectomies were for cancer risk reduction in women.

As someone with two disabilities (neurological and physical) I don't like when able bodied people gate keep humor about disabilities. I like to laugh about my disabilities (and in my experience, a lot of disabled people do as well). I can either laugh about it, or cry, and I prefer to laugh about it. Even tho I have a neurological disability, I can tell the difference between harmless jesting and actual ableism, because I've faced ableism my whole life. Keep up the Helen Keller jokes 😂😂
I am in the same boat and I agree! It's all about intent and intent is obvious. It helps to also feel like you can talk about your disability, not that you have to find some way to hide it, which you can't.
I have to say for sure it is easier to make friends with people who have the same disabilities as you.
What's hard is strangers being like 'why are you not doing X thing I expect you to do immediately?' when your brain feels like sludge. Like, I don't have have the energy to explain to you and you wouldn't understand anyway. So you just get berated. Honestly, that was my worst day in recent memory.
Also, I did not have/ realize them as a child so it has been a stark difference. Never was acceptable for me to struggle but I did.

@Parking_lot182 let me just reiterate that i do watch his content, but just from a standpoint where Im researching because after all the Ethan hate and an old fan, i wanted to make sure i didn’t buy into the videos. From what I’ve seen, he goes against what he says about hatefulness by going against people with opposing beliefs and barely gives any credit to anyone he might go against, i just find it ironic he hates on hating and it often leads him astray from more grey area to just black and white. He can be funny and he can do these things, but not often enough for me to be able to say he does view from all sides and often does push an agenda. And I replied to one of the top 10 comments, i doubt that satisfactory for me to be labelled as lurking in the comments.

Back during the panny and when my depression was worse I watched every single episode of H3 no matter what and I remember even waiting in between episodes... Now that I started working a bit again, moved in with my bf and am doing better with a slightly busier life, I miss about one a week or so and it makes me kind of sad even though it's a sign of my life being more full. I feel like I miss out on some of the in-jokes and lore now, too :(

I'm a total introvert but I love listening to the pod and cleaning, highly reccomend. Even went to see my in laws and help them with housework listening after we settled and, then, have a migraine lie down listening. To be fair, my in laws provide me with endless cleaning 😂 his mama also gets migraines

I'm the opposite. I never watched Ethan but had watched Hasan, this is now the only podcast I watch every episode. Hasan knows what he is talking about, Ethan is funny and clearly tired of the reactionary right wing nonsense that's so common in the USA.
I'm not even American, but US politics infect the world, and here in Australia we feel the wave of moral panic sweeping across large swathes of the population. Luckily, the large majority aren't interested in copying such nonsense, but I find it useful to be informed so I can have decent replies if anyone starts talking about kids with litter boxes, or trans people in sport. For example, my step father was talking about kids proving they are girls/boys before sport, and I could ask how they would check, and if they really think that's a good idea, which made them ask what I think should be done, I said leave it to doctors and parents to figure out, and he said that's probably best now he thinks of it.

Some thing that I think people misunderstand is that double mastectomy’s don’t just happen because of cancer or top surgery there’s a common condition called gynaecomastia which men have memory tissue and the treatment for this condition is a mastectomy to remove those tissues so it’s a little frustrating to hear that statistic used because that statistic covers lots of straight men who are having mastectomy’s

god i was so scared for a moment, bc the republican in my state who was running for senator wanted to be rid of social security and medicaid and it was a close race. my family of four is living off of one social security check per month so it would have put us on the streets and made us starve, and we all have to use medicaid for our health insurance and i take three medications a day... its so scary what couldve happened 😥

My family is from Georgia, one thing EVERYONE is downplaying is Herschel played for UGA. People outside of the south east do not understand how engrained college football and the SEC is in the culture. With peace and love, as a long time viewer and member, this is the truth. My grandma was deaf and blind and a total badass. Not offended or anything, just bringing awareness. With technology nowadays, you very well may have deaf and blind audience members. For what it's worth though, my grandma also loved making Helen Keller jokes too. It was hilarious. I legit work with deafblind people!! If someone is fully deafblind, they likely communicate by the deafblind manual. The deafblind manual is basically sign language where you sign on the person's hand so they can feel what you are saying.
Interestingly, there are 4 kinds of deafblind folk:
Congenital - born deaf & blind
Acquired - became deaf & blind by illness or accident
Deaf people who become blind
Blind people who become deaf
By modern definition of 'deafblind' whereby you are considered 'deaf' and 'blind' because your senses are of a certain level where it impacts your daily life & have to make lots of accomodations to live an independent life - I'd believe you do have some viewers who are deafblind!
There's audio description, subtitles, transcripts, text to braille converters, etc., lots of solutions available to watch CZcams depending on your level of sensory impairment!
